The Third Mystery.. From Paul. It's NOT about Predestination or individual salvation!

442 ( 329 | 113 )

We start with a discussion about the coming Passover... It's the sign of Jonah.

We're getting back to our discussion we've been into for the past dozen or so lectures, so open your TextBooks to Ephesians 3. Because what the Calvinist position says it is, is not what it is. And if you don't know that you'll find yourself in the ditch. We're dealing with the third Mystery given to Paul. Paul, in chapter 3, is telling us what chapter 1 and 2 are all about. These chapters, 1 thru 3, are never talking about individual salvation. It's not talking about predestination or election, as the Calvinistic belief system would want this to be about. But we see that Angels, both fallen and unfallen, are included in this Mystery in that they are observing. Why does God want the Angelic realm to know about the death of the Apostles and the ministry of the Apostles? Christ makes a proclamation to the fallen Angels after His crucifixion. This get's really interesting, but that's just my opinion. Listen and decide for yourself. As a note, pastor mentions that the purpose of God, Romans 8:28, is Jesus Christ. But there are a lot of things that we need to fit together, so our dutiful pastor throws us a lot of verses and a lot of stuff.

Predestination is the opposite of good news when it comes to individuals. God does predestine, but not those whom He will save. The nation of Israel rejected God's plan. This has nothing to do with individuals. Romans 9:19-24 is one long question and it has an answer that Paul gives from Old Testament Scripture. So, let's go see what it says, because the Predestinationers have it wrong. You're on your own from here because we know you'll want to listen.
