Sermon Audio's database contains over 40,000 speakers. On a speaker's profile page, you'll find a list of sermons that they've preached, a biographical description, and a speaker photo. When creating a sermon, broadcasters are able to designate a speaker from Sermon Audio's database as the sermon's speaker. When a speaker isn't in the database, you can add a new speaker to the database from the Sermon Editor. However, by default, any newly added speaker will not have a speaker photo or a biographical description. To add these details, navigate to the Speaker Manager. This page lists all of the speakers that are associated with your broadcaster account, either as a primary speaker or as a speaker on one of your sermons. If a speaker has been designated as one of your primary speakers, it will not be editable by any other broadcasters associated with that speaker. Conversely, if a speaker associated with your account has been claimed as a primary speaker for another broadcaster account, it will be displayed as locked on your Speaker Manager page and will not be editable. Find the speaker whose details you would like to edit and click the Edit button to open the Speaker Editor. From here, you can modify the speaker's biography and speaker photo. While there is no character limit on a speaker biography, we recommend keeping biographic descriptions to around a thousand characters. On the speaker's profile page, the biography will be truncated to five lines of text, regardless of screen width, with the ability to display the full description by clicking Show More. if you would like any details to be visible when the page loads. We recommend including those details within the first 200 characters. A speaker photo should be a basic portrait containing the speaker's face. Speaker photos are most often displayed as a circle, but can sometimes be shown in a rectangular format. To upload a speaker photo, drag and drop an image onto the designated area. When an image is selected, you'll be prompted to crop the photo to align the speaker's face with a composition guide. You can preview how the cropped image will be displayed as both a circle and a rectangle. To accommodate both formats, the speaker's face should be positioned in the upper third of the portrait. Once you're happy with the cropped image, click Upload Image. It may take a few minutes for the new photo to be processed, so don't be alarmed if the photo doesn't update right away when viewing other pages on the site.
