Revelation 19, as we continue
our series of the book of Revelation, a biblical prophecy actually,
this afternoon we are, as I mentioned, going to press ahead into chapter
19. We could spend a lot more time
in chapter 17 and chapter 18, that information interlude of
those two chapters, and we may sometime in the future. There's
much there to be gleaned, but basically What we must understand
about what is revealed in those two chapters, chapter 17 and
chapter 18, is that the Lord in His coming judgment will not
only judge unregenerate, rebellious unbelievers, but He will also
judge and also destroy, also pour out His wrath on all false
religion and false religious systems, as well as the deceiving
systems of this world. He's going to pour His wrath
out upon the deceiving systems of this world. We might describe
it as the deceptive riches of this world, but it's not just
money. It's the whole commerce system. of this world and we
know this and it's revealed to us that both have their roots
in Babylon and both still exist. There are forms of Babylon that
exist right now and they will until the day that the Lord destroys
both the religious system of Babylon and the commerce system
of Babylon. In essence, as the last verse
of chapter 18, you don't want to miss this, the last verse
of chapter 18, verse 24, She's talking about Babylon, the city,
namely. In her was found the blood of
prophets and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the
earth. In essence, God will judge and
God will utterly destroy all the enemies, all that have warred
against His prophets and His saints, His people, as chapter
17 and chapter 18 so vividly reveals. But this we should know,
some of the prophets and the saints' enemies, some of God's
people's enemies are not merely people, but they are also Satan's
religion and Satan's world system. These are just as much, and if
we can know anything from chapter 17 and 18, maybe even in some
instances, these are even greater than the physical enemies, people
enemies of God's people. It may well be some of that destroying,
as we sang that psalm. They will be destroyed in Yahweh's
name. And true it is. They will be. And so, we step into chapter
19. We're just going to take a baby
step today. And as we step into chapter 19, we are immediately
brought back to the real time of the revelation, the real time
of the Apostle John's Remember, 17 and 18 were kind
of an information interlude to the timeline or the action of
the vision. So now, in chapter 19, we come
back to the vision and to the action of the vision, the ongoing
timeline throughout the book. And in chapter 19, we begin in
verse 1, and after these things, I heard a great voice of much
people in heaven saying, salvation and glory and honor and power
unto the Lord our God. I think we just heard that, didn't
we? We just sang that. For true and righteous are His
judgments, for He hath judged the great whore which did corrupt
the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of
His servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia,
and her smoke rose up forever and ever. And the four and twenty
elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that
sat on the throne saying, Amen, Alleluia. And a voice came out
of the throne saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants
and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard, as it
were, the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,
And as the voice of mighty thundering sang, Alleluia, for the Lord
God omnipotent reigneth. So verse 1 begins with the words,
After these things, after this present age has come to an end,
after the rapture, of the Lord's church, after the Lord Jesus
Christ Himself opened 6 and then the 7th seal of the 7th seal
book, after the sealing of the 144,000 of the 12 tribes of Israel
remaining upon the earth, after the pouring out of the
seven trumpet judgments, and in the seventh trumpet, the three
judgments of great woe, after Satan being cast out of heaven
down into the earth, and then the revelation and the cruel
rule of his imitation, his evil, his mockery of a trinity, the
dragon, the beast, and the false prophet, the testimony in death
and then the resurrection of the Lord's two faithful witnesses,
after the seven vials, seven bowls of swift, severe, sweeping
judgment, the unparalleled wrath of God, wrath without mixture,
wrath without mercy, after the total annihilation of a great
whore of false religion and wicked economic and political powers,
after the kings and the kingdoms of this world have been brought
to naught. And this world has been shaken
and turned upside down at the end of the end. Then, then this. Then, what we have prophesied
and declared before us today, as we've just read, will come
to pass. Just as sure as all of those
Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled to perfection, to the
word, to the letter, We can expect so too will this one be fulfilled. J. Vernon McGee, most of you
have probably heard some of his recordings. He wrote this. He says, and I quote, Chapter
19 marks a dramatic change in the tone of Revelation. The destruction
of Babylon, the capital of the beast kingdom, marks the end
of the great tribulation. The somber gives way to song.
The transfer is from darkness to light, from black to white,
from dreary days of judgment to bright days of blessing. This
chapter makes a definite bifurcation in Revelation and ushers in the
greatest event for this earth. the second coming of Christ. It, speaking of chapter 19, is
the bridge between the great tribulation and the millennium. End quote. And all of this begins
with one word. Did you catch it? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. It's there, and it's
repeated, not to just be there, not for just good poetry, not
just to stir our emotions, but it's there for emphasis. This
word is found four times in all of the New Testament, and all
four of them are right here in these first six verses of chapter
19. Alleluia. Alleluia is the Greek
equivalent to the Hebrew word hallelujah. And it literally
means praise Yahweh. Praise Yahweh. It's inferative though, it's
not just praise Yahweh, it's praise ye Yahweh. Praise ye Yahweh. Now I want us to see a few things
about this hallelujah course here that are very important.
First, notice, number one, the place of the hallelujahs. John
records in verse one, I heard a great voice of much people
in heaven. After all these things are over,
then the heavens will literally ring out in hallelujah. So heaven
is the place of the alleluias. And as well, notice second, the
people of the alleluias. Verse 1 says, there is a great
voice of much people in heaven. And notice, they are praising
God for His salvation and the fact that He has judged the great
whore and hath avenged the blood of His servants upon her. So,
this allows us to understand that the first group of people
in heaven here ascribing hallelujah unto the Lord, shouting out,
praise Yahweh, they are those who have been martyred by the
systems and servants of the great whore, especially during the
tribulation period. And then there is a second group
of heavenly heralders in verse 4. Look at verse 4. And the four
and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped
God that sat on the throne saying, Amen, Hallelujah. So, here in
heaven we have the martyred tribulation saints, but also here in heaven
we have the four and twenty elders. We know who this is from chapter
4. It's the Lord's church. It's us. Church and heaven. Alongside the four living creatures. The heavenly seraphim. And we
all together declare praise Yahweh. We all together. That's not all
we declare though. Look at verse 4. We declare Amen. Amen. Praise Yahweh. You know what the word Amen means.
So be it. Truth. Truth. Truly, truly. Yes, that's true. So we here
will be along with the seraphim, affirming what the martyred saints
are heralding. What they are heralding, what
they are declaring, we are saying, true, true, this is true. Praise
Yahweh. But then there is the third group
of heavenly heralds. Notice how this goes in verse
5. And the voice came out of the
throne saying, praise our God. Let me give us a little extra
here. And the voice came out of the throne. What's the throne?
It's the throne of God. And the voice came out of the throne.
And the voice that came out of the throne says, praise our God.
Praise our God. That's not God saying that, is
it? Yes and no. It's Jesus Christ. Praise our God. Our God. Wow. His God is our God. Our Father,
the Lord in heaven. See the identity, see the connection
He makes. And here He says, Praise our
God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small
and great. And I heard, as it were, that's
the command. The command there is to praise
God. The command, I think it's the Lord Jesus Himself. That's
the command. Then verse 6 is the reply. And
I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude. and as
the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thundering
sang, Alleluia, for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. You see, all of the rest of the
servants of God in the heavens above, this great multitude,
here in this time, they will join together in this hallelujah
chorus, and it will sound like the sound of many waters, rushing
waters, and the sound of mighty thunderings, and it will culminate
together to declare praise Yahweh, for Yahweh God, He omnipotent
reigneth. So what does this tell us? What
is the revelation? What is this showing us? Why
is this so important? Because there is a distinction
in the people of heaven, that are in heaven. There is a distinction
of the people in heaven. A lot of people just want to
make heaven one melting pot and forbid God. Forbid God to make
a distinction among people. That's what people are doing
today. They forbid God to make a distinction among people, but
they can forbid all they want to. God has always made a distinction
among people. We know why from our Wednesday
night study. He is Yahweh Mechadishkim. He is Yahweh the sanctifying
God, the setting apart God, the electing God. He makes a distinction
among people as His sovereign will pleases and the rest of
this chapter and the rest of the book will certainly show
us that. So here we see the place of the
hallelujah chorus and here we see the people of the hallelujah
chorus, but now third, let's look, let's consider the praise.
of the hallelujah chorus, the praise. As a matter of fact,
I want you to do a little exercise. It might actually help us to
more directly see the praise of the passage as well as give
us a little foretaste of the soon coming day as well as it
might wake you up a little bit. So we'll see. What I'm going
to do, I'm going to say the words that are here spoken without
the narrative of the passage. The word that are here spoken
by the peoples in heaven. And I'm going to point to you.
When I point to you, I want you to say with a great voice, praise
Yahweh. Okay? Praise Yahweh. I know you're
bad, but you're going to feel all out of your comfort zone
for praising the Lord. And ladies, there's no excuse
for you. It's okay. This is not usurping authority.
It's actually submitting to it, and it's actually just you proclaiming
Scripture, just like singing the song that we just sang. I
don't want to tell our ladies, y'all can't sing anymore. I don't
want to tell them that. OK, we need you. OK, so here
we go. You ready? I probably ought to
get you to stand up and do this, but I won't, because you stood
up for 20 verses of the last Psalm. All right, when I point
to you, you say, praise Yahweh, OK? With a great voice. All right,
you ready? Praise Yahweh. Well, that's a little weak. Let's
try that again. All right. Salvation and glory
and honor and power unto Yahweh our God, for true and righteous
are His judgments. For He hath judged the great
whore which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath
avenged the blood of His servants at her hand. And her smoke rose
up forever and ever. Amen. Praise our God, all ye
His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great. for
Yahweh our God omnipotent reigneth." That's the wording of the passage. That's the wording of the praise
here in heaven. So in this coming day, the heavens
will literally break out in this very hallelujah chorus. And what is this praise of Yahweh
all about? Well, if you look in verse 1,
The first hallelujah of praise is ascribed because, notice,
salvation, glory, honor, and power belongs to Yahweh our God. And this indeed is glorious praise,
but really the language is stronger than it appears here. It is actually,
there's a definite article before each article and it says, The
salvation, the glory, the honor, the power belongeth unto Yahweh
our God. So do you understand what these
saints in heaven are saying? They are saying, Lord, You are
to be praised because You are salvation. You are the glory. That's more than an adjective
of glory. No, You are the glory. He is the person of glory and
the person of honor. And He is not just powerful,
but He is power itself. Like the act of cause that we've
been, when we look at the person of the Trinity of Christ, He's
power itself. And what this is revealing to
us is that in this coming day, all doubt will be destroyed.
Everything false will be destroyed. And all will know that Yahweh
God, He alone, He is the very fountain, He is the very source
of these things. He's the very fountain. He's
the very source. He is these things. So, salvation. Yahweh is salvation. Do you need salvation? Do you
need to be saved, delivered from your greatest of all enemies,
sin and death, the wrath of God against our sin? Well, hallelujah,
our God, God Yahweh, He's the God of salvation. He's the very
foundation. He's the only fountain of it. But as well, What does that leave
us with if we do not have Him? Salvation is not something. It
is someone. It is someone. He's the fountain. He's the source. Praise Yahweh
because salvation belongs to Him. The salvation belongs to
Him. He is the source of it. Listen,
the lawgiver is the only one that can save the lawbreaker.
if he pleases to do so. Rightfully, the lawgiver rightfully,
justly destroys the lawbreaker. Pours out his wrath upon the
lawbreaker. We know that even in our judicial system. The lawgiver
alone, the fellow in prison can't save himself from prison. The
lawgiver has to do that. If he is to find pardon, if it
would please the lawgiver to pardon the guilty, Only the lawgiver
can do that. And so it is with our own salvation. God alone, He is the source of
salvation. There is absolutely no salvation
apart from Him, apart from the true God of this Bible, who has
a name. His name is Yahweh. Salvation
is not something, it's someone. Hallelujah. Salvation belongeth unto Yahweh. You know, it doesn't have to,
if I could say it like that. Let me say it another way. It
is because it's his intrinsically. But he doesn't have to save anyone.
He is not bound to save anyone. He could have destroyed us all
and still receive this praise. Because we are not bound to us for praise. He's not bound to
us for what He deserves to be worshipped for. He is that of
Himself. We don't add anything to Him.
We don't take away anything from Him. If He never created us,
the way I see it in Scripture, He really created us. Romans
9 seems to bear this out. He really created us for one
reason, and that's for His glory, but He declared His salvation
to us for one reason. And that is so that we might
know mercy. We would never know it any other
way. Never know it. We might know grace, but we would
never know mercy. There's a difference. There's
a difference. All of us experience grace. The
world experiences grace, common grace. But soon, they will get
what they deserve. Because they won't know God's
mercy. Now he's deferring that judgment right now. The wicked
acts of... I can't remember the passage.
I won't mess it up. It's because they're not judged
speedily. They think that they're getting
away with their wicked deeds. But that's not true. That's not
true. Right now God is giving them
grace. Common grace. Mercy they will not know because
eventually they will get what they deserve. just because of
God, not because of you. We're in the same boat as everybody
else. We're sinners. We've broken the law of the lawgiver. We will
not get what we deserve. God will save us from what we
deserve. He will give us mercy and we will know mercy and there's
no way that we can know mercy except for He declared His salvation
to us. He's the fountain of salvation
and without Him, There is no salvation. There is absolutely
no salvation. But that's one of the things
that makes this so wonderful. He didn't have to save anyone.
He would be just as much God and just as glorious as He never
saved a human being and just gave us what we deserve. But
He chose to save. He chose to demonstrate His mercy
to us. Hallelujah. Salvation belongs
unto Yahweh. And hallelujah, He's the fountain
and source of glory. As well, here's an interesting
thought when you think about this. It's hard for us to even
understand what glory is. It's renown, it's fame, but it's
also God has an intrinsic glory. We talked about this morning,
the Shekinah glory of God that actually shines, like the shining,
even outshines the sun. I don't understand all of that.
We'll know a little more about it in eternity. We're gonna see
it. Imagine something being in the presence of something that
is brighter than the sun. I mean, we can't even look at
the sun. The sun heats our days. We're going to be in the very
presence at the throne of he who outshines the sun in glory. A lot of people want glory, but
they want it on their own. Scripture calls it vain glory.
But the reality before us, again, when everything else is gone,
there only remains truth. That's where we're at in this
book, in this letter. Now, everything false has been
put down. And now only truth stands. And the truth is there can be
no glory apart from Yahweh our God, because He is glory. He's the fountain of it. You
cannot have glory. You cannot be glorified apart
from Yahweh our God. And you can have no true honor. No true honor. We can be honored
by men, but that's not necessarily true honor. I know a lot of men
that are honored by men that are not honorable. Don't you? We're honest with ourselves.
We ourselves are honored by men for things that are not honorable.
No, there can be no true honor apart from Right here, like I
said, everything false is gone. Now the truth is exposed. And
guess who owns honor? God. Yahweh God, He owns honor. Nor can there be any true power.
Not true power. The Lord owns them all, you see.
They are all His. Do you see why we must have Him?
If we are to know salvation, if we are to know glory, If we
are to know honor, if we are to know power, we must have Him. We must come to Him in the way
that He has provided His Son. The one way that He has provided
that constant message all throughout His book. There's one way to
Him. One way to have salvation. One
way to have glory. One way to have honor. One way
to have power. It's in His Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ. It's simple, isn't it? It wasn't
simple for Him. But as simple as He has declared
it to us, we can have God. We can have Him ourselves, in
and by and through His Son, the Lord Jesus. He's made a way for
us to approach and to Him that we might have Him, if I can say
it like this, that we might possess Him. And it is His Son, the Lord
Jesus. And do you see on the other side
of that why it is truly that we have nothing? Is that not
what Christ declared while He was here? You can do nothing,
you can have nothing without Me. Not even life. We can have
nothing without Him. Did you have God? Do you have
the Lord Yahweh? Is He your God? Do you know Him
to be your God? Do you possess Him? Does He possess
you? There are many trying to make
their own way in this world in their own way to heaven and what
their idea of glory is. Many different thoughts on that,
but all you have to do is look at the text, look at God's Word.
In a day when everything false has been destroyed and the absolute
truth is exposed, the heavens ring out the remaining truth.
Praise Yahweh, for You are the salvation. You are the glory. You are the honor. You are the
power. You are everything. You are everything. That's quite
a revelation, isn't it? Not to a world that thinks he's
just a sidebar, if that. Not really much of anything.
I'll decide when and if I need him. But the truth is, he's everything. And all of us desperately need
him. You see how this has unfolded? in God's Word, in the simple
voice of praise from the heavens. If we do not have Him, if you
do not have Him, what you will have in the end? What you will
have in the end? You will not have all the things
things that you propped up to be your salvation. You will not
have all of the things that you propped up to be your glory and
your honor and your power because they are Yahweh's. But here's
what will happen. He will require them at your
hand, personally, face to face. You will see the truth. You will
see this God that the heavens ring out in praise for and you
will know that instant that all the things that you thought were
salvation and power and glory and honor were nothing without
Him. And even that He will take from
you because they're His. It all belongs to Him. So, this
praise is given to the Lord Yahweh for things He alone owns, things
that belong to Him. But also, this praise is given
to Yahweh for things that come from Him. Things that come from Him. Let
me ask you a personal question again, another one. When you
think of the Lord owning You think of the Lord being the soul
source, the fountain of salvation and glory and honor and power.
What do you think of? Or I might ask it like this.
Who do you think of? You may be thinking of you. When
you think of salvation, when you think of glory and honor
and power and the Lord owning them, you may be thinking of
you. But do you know what righted
minds think of? when they hear of salvation,
and when they hear of glory, and when they hear of power,
and when they hear of honor, you know what the right reaction,
when everything else, when everything false is gone, when everything
false is put down, you know what the right reaction to those things
are? Well, just look at verse two,
it's there. In verse one, hallelujah, salvation, glory, honor, power,
or the salvation, the glory, the honor, the power, belong
unto the Lord our God. For, that word we would say,
because. Because true and righteous are
His judgments. For He hath judged the great
whore which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath
avenged the blood of His servants at her hands. In other words,
praise you, Yahweh, because true and righteous are Your judgments. We know salvation and glory and
honor and power belong to you because you are righteous. Because
righteousness comes from you. That's what it's saying here.
I mean, if we're honest with ourselves, we know that sometimes
when we think of salvation, when we think of glory and honor and
power, we do think of ourselves and what that means for us and
what that means to us. But we should know that much
of that kind of thinking is absolutely saturated in religious sentimentality. But when everything false has
been taken away and only the truth remains, when we think
upon God, when we think upon His salvation that belongs to
Him, and His glory that belongs to Him, and His honor that belongs
to Him, and power that belongs to Him, we will think with the
right in mind, we will see then His righteousness. We will see
His rightness. His rightness. I wonder if perhaps
already we are at least beginning, as the children of God, as the
saints of God, at least beginning to think that way. When we think
about salvation, it's not about us. It's about Him. His righteousness. You are salvation
at the core. It's God's righteousness. When
we think about His power and His honor and His glory, When you really get down into
the depths of it, it's His righteousness. It's His rightness. Do you have the trait of your
Father? That trait? Who is righteousness Himself? Let me put it like this. Do you
desire to be righteous? I mean, in the depths of your
soul, when it's you and God, Do you desire to be righteous?
Do you desire to know rightness? Do you desire that your sin,
you have a yearning in your soul, that your sin and your waywardness
be abolished? Can you see the way? Can you
feel? I mean, I'm not talking necessarily
about action. I'm talking about motive, mind,
thoughts, wickedness. that flows through your being.
Do you desire that that part of you, that wicked part of you,
be abolished and be exchanged by a rightness, a godliness,
a godlikeness? I mean, do we really desire to
be, I know we all say we want to be Christians, but do we want
to be like Christ, who knew righteousness intimately, He knew the difference
between wrong and right. I mean at the depths of it. He
knew the difference between a right motive and a wrong motive. In
our study in Matthew, we're coming up on the Sermon on the Mountain.
Man, it's going to hit us in the face. And the reason he taught
that is because he wanted us to know the difference. Do we
have a desire for rightness? Do you desire to be righteous?
Do you desire to live in a world of righteousness? Are you growing
sick and tired of the wrongness, both within and without? I mean,
really? Or do you kind of treasure the
wrongness? We need to ask these probing
questions to ourselves and search ourselves. Pray that the Lord
would search us. Because soon, As chapter 19 reveals
soon, this longing, if we indeed long for righteousness, it will
be the satisfaction of our souls. We're going to receive something,
we're going to see something that will absolutely cause our
souls to overflow with praise because of righteousness. Here,
our words are ascribed on God's page, our future words. Praise Yahweh. Praise you, Yahweh,
because you are right. You are righteous. You have righteousness. See why it's impossible for us
to know salvation without Him? He has righteousness. We must
have righteousness. Not one of us owns it as we come
into this world. Not even a thread of it. There
is this Word. There is none righteous. Not even one. But Him. We must have Him. As a matter of fact, church,
soon evidently, we will have no regard for religious sentimentality
at all, but rightness. Righteousness, including righteous
justice, will be our praise. Look at verse 3 and 4. And again,
they said, Alleluia! And her smoke rose up forever
and ever, and the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell
down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen!
Alleluia! Now, look at the bookends here. the Alleluia bookends and what's
in the middle. Take out the narrative and just
look at the words. Heavens declare Alleluia! And
these words are declared, Her smoke, Babylon's smoke, rose
up forever and ever, and then These words are declared, amen.
So be it. These words are declared by us,
church. So be it. So be it to her smoke rose up
forever and ever. That's what we're so being it
to. That's what we're saying, yes, Lord. Yes, this is true. Amen. Praise Jehovah. Praise
Yahweh. Think about that. Because I know
today we don't like the thought. We don't especially like the
thought of hell. We don't especially like the thought of fire and
eternal torment, do we? We don't especially like to talk
and to converse over a place where torturous skin worms eat
and eat and eat, but are never filled up with the flesh they
are eating. We don't like to necessarily
talk about the fire, a fire that burns and burns and is never
quenched, is never satisfied by the flesh that it is burning. I mean, today we live in a time
when it is taboo to preach of hell and judgment. Caboo to preach about anything
that will make people uncomfortable. You know why it makes us uncomfortable,
right? Because it burns too close to home. But you notice, in this day,
and this is one of the stark revelations of the latter part
especially of the book of Revelation, much of the praise that the Lord
will receive in these latter days is guessed from what? Just
judgment. It's justice. It's justice. It's fierce justice. The severest. We can't imagine what it is to
be judged with wrath without mixture. We cannot even imagine
it. When the total fury of God is
unleashed on sin. The only way we can even see
it is at the cross. See his son there beat to where
you can't even recognize it's a person. See his son there whipped
to the point where you can see his eternal organs. See him hanging
there naked, exposed for all the world to see that way. And
then see God turn off the lights. And the part that he most dreaded,
the part he sweat blood over, the part that scripture says
he feared, God turned the lights of heaven off and his own wrath
broke out upon his own son to the point that Christ cried out,
my God, my God, why have you forsaken me? That's the closest
we can get to halfway understanding what wrath without mixture is. But all through this book, God's
praise is declared with a right in mind, we will
praise the Lord with hallelujahs and amens. Hallelujahs and amens. Yes, so be it. This is true. This is right. Praise you, Yahweh. And for what is just, severe,
eternal judgment of sin and falsehood. So this hallelujah praise is
for what belongs to God, salvation, the salvation, the glory, the
honor, the power. This hallelujah praise is what
comes from God, righteousness and justice. And then lastly,
verse 5 and 6. And a voice came out of the throne,
saying, Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear
Him, both small and great. And I heard, as it were, the
voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters,
and as the voice of mighty thunderings." What a descriptive description
that is. To let us know the thunderous
roar of this praise. And here's what they said. Alleluia
for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. This alleluia praise is for what
is under God. What belongs to Him, what comes
forth from Him, but also what is under Him. And what would
that be? Everything. Everything is under
Him. The saints and the angels and
the church of heaven with a three-fold great voice, as chapter 6 describes
there. They declare, we declare praise
Yahweh, for He is the sovereign, almighty God. When everything
gone, everything false is gone, and truth and righteousness and
justice are all that's left. Look, saints, look who will stand
as King Supreme. Look at him. One single, solitary
figure, Yahweh God. Him alone. And this we have to
know. We are definitely about to see
it in the coming verses of this chapter and the coming chapters
of this book. We have to see this because this
is truth. There is one God who is God. That's what these voices, that's
what the church, that's what the servants, that's what the
martyred saints are declaring here. You, God. You, Yahweh. You reign in omnipotence. You are the Almighty God. There's none that can conquer
you. There's none that comes beside you. There's none that
can contend with you. You own power. You are power.
There's nothing I can fight against that. You are the sovereign,
almighty God. And understand, if this will
be true here in this day, and it will be, then it has already
been truth, which means it is truth today. It is truth right
now. It is truth right here. Right here, if we know true reality,
if we desire true righteousness and justice and the truth today, right now, we know it. We know
it. Look, here's the truth today
too. The Lord God, Yahweh God, omnipotent
reigneth. Praise Yahweh for Yahweh God,
omnipotent reigneth. We know it. You know what? God has breathed it for us. He's breathed it for us already.
He's given us a preview of the day when everything false has
been put down. when He has conquered every falsehood,
every lie, every deception of men, and religion, and commerce,
and world systems, and world powers, and powers and principalities
in heavenly places, and in hell beneath, and in the sky above. He's conquered it all. He's put
it all. That's what the whole book has led us to. We've seen
Him conquer it all. We've seen His hand. His power,
His thumb over all of it, even using evil to sustain His purposes
and to keep His purposes. We've seen Him rule it all. And
He will bring it all to pass. We know. We know who is God. Don't suppress it. Don't hold
it down any longer. But lift your hearts to God who
is God now, this moment, and declare, Alleluia! Praise Yahweh,
for you reign. You reign. You reign over me. He reigns over us. He reigns
over this world. He is God omnipotent right now. We don't have to wait. We shouldn't
wait for this day to know that truth. We have the preview. He's
already revealed that truth. We have the benefit and blessing
of being able to see it today as we hold His Word in our hands
and to know that everything around us, we can see Him working in
everything around us. We can see our lives. We can
look back in the past and see how He has operated and moved
and maneuvered our lives in ways that in the moment we would have
never guessed. We would have never thought that
that would end up in this, but that was the only way to this,
and He brought us through that to bring us to this. And He's
done it, and that's just the government of us. Let alone the
world, the earth, and the animals, and all the other things that
He rules over, and who knows what else that He rules over
in all of the universes. He rules over all of it. Who
knows what else He's doing? in all of the universes. Only
Him. We don't have to wait to declare
this hallelujah chorus. It's just as true now as it will
be then. Praise Yahweh. Salvation, glory,
honor, and power belong to Him. Praise Yahweh. He is right. He
is righteous. He is just. Praise Yahweh. He
is the Almighty reigning God. In other words, He is God alone. He is your God. He is my God. Are we giving Him the praise
to do His name today? I'm sure you have before, but
now you've read it, you've seen, you've seen the prophecy of the
coming day. We have no excuse. We know we
should be giving Him praise today for the God that He is. We should
bow our lives, our world to Him, our ways to Him, everything to
Him, because He is our God. Let's do this one more time.
He deserves it. Now that you know, though, I
want a little bit of something behind it.
Praise YHWH
