It's Time To Seek The Lord

For the Christian, idolatry is anything that we willingly give ourselves and our affections to instead of or before the Lord. That means our idols can be our work, our families, our marriages, our children, our education, even our pets. Lord have mercy we have an epidemic of pet idolatry in this country today. Our idols can be recreation, pleasure, entertainment, our hobbies. Whatever it is in our lives that steals our affections from Jesus, that's our idol. And it can be the kind of thing that no one else ever sees because often our idolatry hides in our hearts. David Jeremiah says, 'Idolatry has everything to do with what's at the center of our affections.' So what's your idol Christian? What's at the center of our affections, our love and devotion?
