Worship - Its Complement Pt 3 [Music cont'd]

The place that musical accompaniment has in the worship of God is an extremely important topic when considering praise as a component of Biblical worship.

This is due the fact that:
[1] We have the modern worship scene to contend with. Christian Contemporary worship is moving in virtually everywhere with its plethora of instruments and instrumental worship. More often than not there is a heavy beat to the music employed more reminiscent of the world's places of entertainment than worshipping God.

[2] We have those who argue that there should be no musical accompaniment in worship at all. This is the fervent belief of those who would also argue for exclusive psalmody. They are entitled to their view and practice if they so desire.

[3] The possibility of corrupting worship among ourselves. There is always the need to be on our guard among ourselves that we do not get on to a downhill path in this matter.
