Preparation for Preaching - Part 2

"He Who Has Ears" is a series of studies in which Pastor Jason aims to help the student become a better, more effective listener to the preaching of the Scripture. We could all listen better. But being a better listener doesn't just happen - it requires preparation, participation, and practice. In this series Pastor Jason walks the student through the process of making preparation for listening before the sermon even begins. Then he offers instruction on how we can be better engaged in the act of listening during the sermon itself. Finally, he takes the student through a series of helps in taking the sermon with him and putting it into practice. Ultimately, for the glory of God and the good of our own souls, we need to be not merely hearers of the Word, but doers of it, putting into practice what we are shown in the text of Scripture. We hope this series of studies will help you be a better listener, that you might ultimately be a better doer, bringing glory to Christ as you are conformed to his image in daily living.
