Our Final Exit

As believers in Christ we look forward to our 'final exit', when we will receive a new body, one that is imperishable, raised in glory and power, and a spiritual body--a body totally different, designed by God that will enable us to live forever and ever. We will receive this new body at the resurrection when Jesus returns for us. But in the meantime, we groan! We groan because we live in a sin-cursed world. W groan in anticipation of our new body. We groan at the prospect of dying. But God has guaranteed us a new body. It is part of His purpose for us, and His purposes will not be thwarted. Plus He has given to us the Spirit as a guarantee of what is to come. So, while we might groan now, let us labor on until God takes us home!
