The Peril of Un-Forgiveness!

People hurt people! All of us have been hurt by another's words or actions. And all of us need not only to be forgiven, but also to forgive others for the wrongs they've done against us. But what harm is there if we refuse to forgive? What if we continue to hold a grudge or bitterness in our hearts? Failure to forgive plays right into the hand of our spiritual adversary. It is one of his devices he uses to keep us chained to the past, in bondage to old wounds. It is one of his methods that suspends us in time so that we cannot move on with our lives. But what does it mean to forgive? What's involved in forgiving another? This sermon explores not only the perils of refusing to forgive, but also what is involved in forgiving another so as to thwart Satan's scheme.
