What Does It Mean, Take Me? Oh, the hidden things of Scripture will astonish you!

253

Genesis 15 is about leprosy? Well... that's what the pastor said. And when you listen to what he says, it all the sudden makes sense. When you realize that the question Abram is actually asking is, “How can I know that I'm saved?”, then you see that God's answer is to accept His sacrifice, “Take Me!” and that “Me” is symbolized by all the sacrificial animals that immediately follows... then you can figure out why the two birds are in the story. See, you've got this. It's easy as cake, piece of pie.

Alright... hardly anybody knows what the two birds are doing in the story. And, do I want to give you the Cliff notes? (Get it? Cliffside... Cliff-notes) Yes! We are given instruction in the Bible to seek out understanding of the hidden things of Scripture. This pastor will guide you in doing just that. But all I'm gonna give you is this. Where in the Bible are there two birds being sacrificed? And, what are they being sacrificed for? Here's another hint. The remainder of the lecture, for the most part, is about Naaman! And not just what he was healed from, but what he gave in return for his healing. Did you think those things were arbitrary? But at least understand that what he was healed from has deep meaning as well... and that's why the two birds are in the story.

If you are willing and able, consider supporting Cliffside after giving locally. We are looking for a few to stand in the gap for a short time so we can launch a new Internet platform, and begin going live on SermonAudio, to come out of this corona virus lock down with the ability to reach more people. Contact Supper Dave for details at (907) 240-7841 or [email protected].
