The Work of the Ministry

We know from the whole of Scripture that it is God who saves. And we know particularly from the NT that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, regenerates a man, breathes new life into him, and seals him for eternity by virtue of the atoning work accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Spirit tells us in 1 Tim. 4:16 that God uses means for the saving of sinners, and the immediately preceding verses shine the light on those things that Timothy must prioritize as the work of the ministry.
