At the table

As they reach Emmaus, Cleopas and his friend persuade the unknown teacher to stay. He takes on the role of the host, and—in a representative and recognisable act of ministering—the Holy Spirit makes Christ known to them. Now all falls into place—faith stirs, hope is restored, love blossoms. This is the transformative experience of communion with Christ Jesus.
