I know what's on everybody's mind today. This terrible malady that's going around in the world today. The neighbor across the street from me says it's all in everybody's mind. I think it's more than that, okay? I really do. I don't want to be condemned for what I say this morning. Brother Dale. Well, I'm trying, I'm just subject to saying it. Okay, all right. I hope that I'm speaking with what the Lord wants me to say. I woke up in the middle of the night and I wrote, I told brother, Jordan that I was going to read a passage of scripture and I will if they'll give me if I'll have enough time. But I feel like the Lord gave me a couple of words to say. And this is the way I wrote it. God is angry. Many do not believe his word. Notice I did say many. We here believe God's word. They only want more toilet paper. And there are other things, of course, and we all have, we've all been to the grocery store. Linda said the shelves were empty in there for the things that she wanted. Bruce, you better not need the toilet paper. Yeah. That's about the way I felt yesterday when we went by Crow. If I go out and eat, I'm going by drive-in window. I do not have a terrible fear, but I try to control the circumstances. I try to control. I try to be aware of what's going on. And I don't know everything that's going on, other than what we read here in the book of Matthew. They do not have time to worship Him. You mentioned worshiping the Lord this morning, which you do every week nearly, as far as I know. But we come here to worship the Lord. When I get up every morning, as far as I'm concerned, my heart is worshiping the Lord. Whatever the situation of the world is, we might have to live through it. You just probably will. But the passage that I have to read deals with that. And Brother Jordan, some people will say, well that's just historical candor of some sort. Oh yes, we went to the Kroger's yesterday. I stayed in the car. Don't laugh at me, I know I'm foolish. Linda went inside, but there was a SUV parked over here, pulled up here in front of me over here, and I could see the sign on the back of the window. It said, God listens. Bruce, my concern is we need to listen to God. They need to change that sign on the back of the SUV and say such. It needs to read, listen to God. And that was really disturbing to see it that way. Maybe they didn't mean anything by it, but they do it in ignorance. Oh, now you're cutting in. That is correct, it was a radio station, but God listens. But we need to listen to God. And how can we listen to God? Read God's word. Go to church on Sunday and worship him. Read God's word every day. This Bible is not just for somebody that's had a terrible wreck on the highway and they suddenly begin to think about, well, what's going on? It's for us every single day. Well, my thought is, what is this all boiling down to? It boils down to sin. That's where the problem is. from the garden where Adam and Eve lived till today. The problem is sin. So I believe, I believe it was the Lord that led me to these particular words. And I can already tell, Bruce, that I don't use too much time. But God is angry. So we're going to read Matthew 24, a portion of it. What's going to happen in the future? I can't say that anything's going to happen today before dark. And I cannot say that it won't. I cannot say that the Lord will be 10 years from now, returning 10 years from now. He might decide to come before dark. Now I hate to even use some of the terminology. I hear it when I say it. God doesn't have to decide. He knows exactly what's going to go on. And he knows how wicked and terrible people are. I've been listening to the TV all week long and no radio, but other places, but all week long, not today, but most of the week, I heard very few words about the grace of God or about the church. The majority of the words that I heard this morning from particular churches were closing down for the day. You can come listen to us on the internet, online. Now, if I belong to And I went to one of those mega churches that's putting everything online. By the way, Brother Jordan, my professor friend, he had the idea he was going to be teaching this next week on the online and he was confused. He'd never done that before. Because of the maladies, he's a professor at Rice University and but I saw on TV this morning that the school is going to be closed down all week for the next seven days. And then after that, they said, online. They'd be teaching online. Well, that's another thing. But my question is, what's going to happen? And that's what everybody's mind. What's going to happen? I can tell you what's going to happen. God's word is going to be satisfied. His word is not going to change. It's absolutely important to know what God has to say. And that's not what the advice is that everybody's getting. The advice is to go wash your hands. That is a good thing. I'm not against that. I washed my hands several times this morning. I never know what my wife has touched. Okay. All right. But in all the situation, everywhere I've got, every single person has heard the word COVID-19, that horrible virus, coronavirus. They've heard that. And they know what, and they're terrified and they're scared. I say this, God has spoke. He speaks and nobody's listening. Do what sir? That's correct. But he has, but God has spoke. Yeah, okay. People are worried about the effects of this malady, the financial aspect of it. The financial aspect of it, it's very expensive. If you're on the stock market and you have some stock in there, you could have very well lost easy 40%. of what you had in it. And it's got 40% is a lot of money. So we're here today to sing and to worship the Lord. He gives us hope and I have hope in the Lord. What he's done for me and what he's done for you. I'm not even getting over to my scripture. We're not told the exact time of his return, never have been. The Lord's gonna return like a thief in the night. That means you're not gonna be just, if you begin to suspect that he's fixing to return, I don't know how that goes. I know that he's going to return, and I hope he does. but there might be some suffering along the way. Matthew 24, I'm sorry. I didn't intend to spend that much time talking. And Jesus went out, I'm sorry, let's go to verse two. And Jesus said unto them, see ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone up on another that shall not be thrown down. Now, I know there are many different ways and places that we can go in this passage. I know that. But the thing is, is listen to what the Lord has to say to us. And as he said upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately saying, tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of the coming and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceives you. Boy, we hear a lot about these false religions and procrastination preaching services. False preachers trying to sound good, but they're preaching deceitful, lies about God's work. They're more interested in you listening to them than in God's word. Take heed that no man deceive you for many shall come. Notice the word many. Many shall come in my name saying I am Christ and shall deceive many. and you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. Sounds just like our world today. See that you be not troubled, for all these things must come to pass out of, out, I'm sorry, but the end is not yet. Sometimes I have to read through my scribbling on it. But the end is not yet. And Bruce, that worries me. How long is that going to be out there? I'm ready today. I don't want to have to go through all these perilous, troubling times. I want to leave it in the world in the Lord's hand. And it is in His hand. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines. A lot of people read that and say, well, that doesn't involve us. That involves Saudi Arabia and Iran and Russia or somebody like that. I believe it involves every single kingdom and nation and people upon the face of the earth, especially us. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences. You know what a pestilence, pestilence, pestilences are, Dorothy? Yes. Diseases, and that's a good one. And earthquakes, and diverse places, By the way, the word divers means many different, to me that's what it means, many different places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be, hey, Bruce, there we go again. I want to be gone before that happens. Yeah, I'm afraid you're right. But it's getting worse. That's the reason I lock my door at night. When I go to bed, I've got a chain I put on it now. I've also got an alarm system. Brother Jordan, you hadn't seen this, but I have one of those lights and an alarm system. It's on my truck out there. and there's an alarm by my bed over there. When anything gets close to my vehicles out there, well that alarm goes off. The only problem with that is I never can catch them. I know because I stay in bed and I send my wife. So, but you're right. I'm not sure I really want to, but I sure would like to know who's stealing that stuff out of my truck, or trying to. Yeah, I have, but you couldn't get in it. This week I had a case, or half a case, I don't know how many it was, of caulking taken out of, you know what these milk cartons cases look like? I had it all in there, laying in there, and I didn't want to put it inside the cab, and I never have been able to figure it out 100% on this, but it's gone. I have a case that probably $20 worth of merchandise is gone. So what? Well, I guess that was on verse nine, I don't know. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Joel, I think you said something earlier about the Muslims or some of those folks over hating the Americans, hating the Jews, and hating other people. And all the Muslims and all the different religions, they hate the truth of God's word. That's the reason they don't want to say anything about it. That's the reason they don't want to read it. And then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another. Verse 11. And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. I hope I'll last to the end. But I'm still looking for that day when the Lord returns. And I hope it's soon because I feel very weak and waiting patiently. That's correct. I'm for it. I'm for the end for me. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world. For a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come. So because of all these maladies that's going on, situations going on in the world, the end might not be yet. It might be a while. I don't want it to be a while for me, Brother Jordan. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolations spoken of by Daniel, the prophets stand in the holy place. Whoso readeth, let him understand." Well, Brother Jordan went through that passage very thoroughly sometime back. And I'm going to go back and read those messages again, Brother Jordan. And I'm going to see how many are out there. I mean, others have been reading them. Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains. Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Monday I'm planning on spreading some dirt. But if the Lord returned in the midst of that, I'm to leave my rake and hoe and shovel and whatever else I'm using out there and flee. Where would I go? I don't know. I hope the Lord takes me from right there. Linda, you can finish the job. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. What kind of flight is it talking about? Well, we'll let the Lord deal with you about that. neither on the Sabbath day. For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world in to this time nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. But for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. I hope they're real short for me. Then if any man shall say unto you, lo, here is Christ, or there, believe it not, where there shall arise false Christ and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. And we know he has. We've studied much in the Old Testament even. We can see these things coming and happening. God's word is true in every place. It does not change. Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, behold, he is in the desert, go not forth. Behold, he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. And I have many more scriptures, but I'm not going to go there. I'm going to stop right there. I would like to encourage everybody to read all of this chapter here. And in the book of Revelation, chapter 19, 20, 21, 22, Yeah, all of God's scripture wherever you're late this passage over here in the book of Daniels would be a good one to read But we need to all remember to stay in God's Word Brother Jordan, I'm gonna stop right there
