Okay, it's good. I think that for the God, nothing is coincidence. If you look for the prayer from pastor, he pray about the the God change our lives, change our mind. I think I want to keep the Word of God, change my life. I need the Word of God keeping, make a change in my life, my mind, my, yeah. And then, I hope this time we can to learn about what God, he want about us. He want to change in our lives, yeah? Look this in... to beginning Romans chapter one. Romans chapter one. This is not a verse about the message, but I want to beginning with this because everyone here Listen to me. Everyone here, we are gathered for a single reason. Exalt the name of Christ. Yes? And if not, let me tell you that you are in the wrong place. Yeah? And we do it because we know, or we know or receive something from it, from him, he has changed our lives, he has transformed our homes, he has remained faithful to us. We know him because someone told us about him. We know him because we read his work. We know him because he has worked in all lives. We know him because somehow, in some way, God himself has been known. And look this, Romans chapter one, Romans chapter one, verse 19. The Bible says, Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them, for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and good so that they are without excuse. Amen? And then, every time I can read, I will read the Word of God, I like to imagine what it was like at that time. I don't know if you like this, but I maybe close my eyes and I think like at that time. And now let's move. to when Jesus begins his ministry. And I want to talk about this time. And then Luke chapter 4. Luke chapter 4, please. Verse 14, Luke chapter 4, verse 14. And the Bible say, And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And there went out of fame of him through all the region round about. And he saw in their synagogues being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been broke up, and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written. Verse 18, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. Imagine the minister Pharisees, imagine looking for the Jesus. And Jesus tell them this word. The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he had anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He had sent me to heal the broken hearted to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering our sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Verse 19, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book and he gave it again to the minister and sat down. And the eyes, imagine this, and the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fascinated on him. Wow. And if you want, you can confirm it and read it in Isaiah chapter 61, yeah? You can look in your Bible, but for the time, go. But the part that was not expected, the Pharisees not expected, is the one that follows. Verse 21. And he began to say unto them, this day, Is this scripture fulfilled in your ears? Wow. I can imagine the eyes of the minister. Open your eyes. What? I can imagine the first people who heard Christ say, this has been fulfilled before you today in front of your eyes now. In a way, I could give them the benefit of the doubt as someone who just knows and tells himself that he is God. Yeah. But later, Christ comforts them with his facts, his life. His fame, the Bible says, his fame was announced everywhere. Even when John the Baptist was imprisoned, Jesus told them to let John of all these things that were being fulfilled. He was the one who held the sick, as he did with Peter's mother-in-law. or the woman with blood flow, or the servant's servant. He cured the blind like the blind Bartimaeus. He made the invalid walk like that invalid next to the well, or the paralytic who lowered their friends on the roof. He held the demonized such as Gadareno and others. He resurrected the dead like Lazarus or Jairus' daughter. He showed his power as when they only touched the tip of his mantle. or ask him to just a word that he said will be hell. He know everything about people as he told the Samaritan woman, as he told Peter and Judas what they have to do. He died on the cross of Calvary. to save everyone who believes in Him, like the mother church next to the cross. The same Bible says that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, He was received as David's son, that is, as King of the Jews. Matthew chapter 21 say Matthew chapter 1 look this Matthew chapter 1 verse 7 to 9 The Bible says, And brought the ash and the coal, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way. Others cut down branches from the trees and strewed them in the way. Multitudes down went before, and that followed cried, saying, O Sanna, to the son of David, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. O Sanna in the highest. The same people recognized to Christ. the same people exalting to Christ. The question today, this time, is why do we not exalt Christ then? Why do we not exalt Christ then? Because we don't believe Him with all our heart. You and me need believe in Jesus Christ with all our heart. No hardly, no little, no 99.999%, no, 100%. All of us believe in Jesus. We say that, yes, we love God, yes, we believe in Him, but we always seek the way of embodying our responsibility for exalting the name of Christ. We have a double opinion about God. The pastor said this morning, people outside say that they do believe in God. The people in note say, I believe in God, that they love God, but they do not want to make a commitment to him. The people doesn't want to live as he commands. The people doesn't want to change what he commands. The people doesn't want to live the things that God doesn't like. They take refuge in religions where they are allowed to continue in the vanity of their mind. their sins and concupiscence, their own understanding and reject the name of Jesus. Because you and me to keeping in all things, you and me rejecting to Jesus Christ. All the pray today, the pray to begin in this service, The God make a change our lives. I need the God change my life. Always keeping, keeping change. We say, Many people say, God loves me with all my defects and my sins. You can hear this? And yes, he loves. He loves you there, brother. I am sure he loves you, but doesn't love the sin. He says that you have to leave sin and depart from it to live a holy life consecrated to him, exalting Christ with your own life. One day pastor say, we need to have a smile, smile to Christ. You remember? Smile, all eyes must be smile to Christ. Reflect, you and me, we need to reflect Christ. They, the ancients, the Pharisees in the time of Jesus, had the living testimony of Christ and decided to reject him. These people, the Pharisees and priests and ministers, they have a Jesus in life. They came to see the miracles. They came to see, they came to hear your words in life. But they decide reject him. We, you and me, now have his word. Thank you, God, for his word in this country. It's free. You and me, we came to read the Bible free, freely. In other countries, you need to write the Bible in secret because your life is at risk. Like family, we have missionaries to support missionaries in the world. We have a missionary in India. And this brother said, pastor, praying for the people in here because the Christians was killing. Killing. The reason? Believe in Jesus. Churches. Church was fired, destroyed. In this country, you and me can read the Bible. And you and me, we have his word, like testimony, which is fulfilled, that is true, that is effective, and more sharp than a sword of two edges, that penetrates the soul, the conjuncture, and the marrow. That is why, brother, that when the preacher speaks against him, People feel uncomfortable, angry. It give us head or cold. They no longer want to come to the church. They blame the pastor. And we not understand that this because the word of God is talking to you. But for our pride, we don't want to pay attention. And we act the same as those Pharisees rejecting Christ. Our testimony, the word of God today. And if we look at the gospel of Luke, the writer, a doctor, knowledgeable of science. After meeting Jesus through the testimony of those who lived with him, not only conformance to that, but says the Bible that Luke diligently investigated to present Jesus as the son of man and the son of God. The gospel of Matthew introduced us to Jesus as king, as the promised Messiah, David's son. Mark's gospel presents Jesus as a servant, highlighting his work, and the gospel of John presents Jesus as God, the only begotten son of the Father. But the Old Testament and the New Testament speak about Christ, about Christ, of Christ. The Old Testament, the shadow of Christ. The New Testament is the fulfillment of the coming of Christ for the first time. And the Old and New Testament is the prophecy that Christ will come for the second time. Jesus comes soon. But we continue to exile Christ. And I also believe, brothers, that those ancient men knew the scriptures. The ministers, the sacerdotes, knew the scriptures. For example, The Magical of the East, who made a tremendous journey to meet Jesus when he was born. Yeah? Knew about the prophecy, and believed. King Herod himself knew about the prophecy, but wanted to kill him. The priests, scribes, and Pharisees knew of all this, but let me tell you this, dear brother, more was his ambition, the desire of the flesh, the boss of life. You remember in Luke chapter 18, you remember when Jesus told the young rich, Look this, Luke chapter 18, verse 22, 23. Now, when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, yet lackest thou one thing, sell all, that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me." And then, what do the young rich look, follow next verse? And when he heard this, He was very sorrowful, for he was very rich. Not that they did not know, it was not suited to their benefit. Exalting Christ, how to do it? How, you and me, exalting Christ. Let me tell you. I'm going to tell you what the Bible say. Don't believe me. Believe what His holy word say. How to exalt Christ. I end Colossians chapter three. Colossians chapter three, verse one. The Bible say, if ye then be rising with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ seated on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinated affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness which is idolatry, for which things, say the wrath of God, cometh on the children of disobedience. in which ye also walked some time when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all this anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filth, communication out of your mood. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put up the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him, where There is neither great for you circumcision or uncircumcision, barbary, and bond, nor free. But Christ is all and in all. The end of everything, the end of everything is Christ. and we must exalt to him with our lives. I would like brothers to be called as those brothers of the primitive church. I want to show you that the Calvary Baptist Church the Calvary Baptist Church to be called as those brothers. Look Acts, Acts chapter 17. Acts chapter 17, verse six. The Bible say, and when they found them not, They drew Hassan and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, these that have turned the world upside down are come hither also. These that upside Fangaray are also here. These that upset Northland have also come here. These that upset New Zealand. These that upset the world are here. You and me. Calvary Baptist Church. These that exalt Christ are here.
