God's Love for His People

: The Lord revealed a dispute between himself and his people. He had told them, and demonstrated his loved in manifold ways, but his Old Testament church was living in disappointing conditions after the exile. Therefore, they doubted God's love. The Lord responded to their doubts by reminding them that he had chosen Jacob, their forefather, and had rejected Edom. God's people were living under the everlasting promises of their covenant keeping Lord.
