Resurrection: The Wheel of Entropy Reversed
Series Easter Sermons
First Corinthians 15 invites the preacher to make audacious claims and find that no claim, be it ever so elaborate, in regards to the coming resurrection body, is enough to define what Christ has done. The resurrection is not some weak tea version of real life; it is no ephemeral floating in the ether playing a harp; it is more than one could ever hope or imagine. Paul piles illustration on top of illustration to try to lead our minds to begin to fathom what awaits. It is the wheel of entropy reversed and rather than life and energy seeping out of everything it is life and vitality pumping back into everything so that day by day every moment is more real, more full, more alive. It is the never-ending flood tide of glory that awaits. You should lean in with rich anticipation.
