Providence Always Prevails

A sign of judgement — when a nation and its fighting men are found to be and act and think and fear like delicate women.

How beautiful are the feet are they who bring good tidings — of God's judgement and His mercy. (Nahum 1:15)

If God be for you — who can be against you? And if the Lord be against you — it really doesn't matter who is for you. Sometimes God uses people and they have absolutely no clue what He's done and doing through them. God did this with the Assyrians and their king. They, like all people who have no idea that God does what He wants, will ALWAYS misinterpret and be misinformed on why things turn out the way they do. King Sennacherib thought he was untouchable and unstoppable in all his glory and strength. And he was UNTIL God was done using him to accomplish His purpose through him. The problem is he pridefully thought he was the brains and brawn behind it all. He walked through nations like they were nothing... he was undefeated and unmatched, as long as God was using him, as His own battle axe to accomplish His judgements and wrath upon the nations. God has often done this... He referred to the people of Moab as His washpot. When His people got dirty doing their own thing, God used Moab like wash pot of water to clean them up by making them turn back to Him.
