- Many in the church today believe they do not have to submit to the government (The Problem) v. 1 para 1
- God has ordained all forms of human government for the day-to-day good of mankind. (The Correction) v. 1b para 2
a. Failure to submit to governance is sin before God. v. 2
b. Because God has ordained human governance, obedience brings peace. v. 3
c. Because God has ordained human governance, disobedience brings enmity. v. 4
d. Because God has ordained human governance, this institution promotes general order among people. v. 5
e. It is because of this order that God expects our unwavering submission. v 6 - We MUST submit to the government God has placed above us, as his representatives. (The Follow-Through) v. 7 para 3
