Our Place in the New Jerusalem

In our Scripture passage tonight, the Apostle John is describing for us the Church
Triumphant. While we are still part of God's Church on earth, we are known as the
Church Militant. Our Catechism in explaining the last three articles of the Apostles'
Creed relates to us how the Church Militant can still have comfort here below even as
we eagerly look forward to the day when we will join the Church Triumphant.

1. Comfort in Forgiveness.

2. Comfort in the Resurrection.

3. Comfort in the Life Everlasting.
