The Doctrines of Grace: Limited Atonement (Part III)

197 ( 164 | 33 )

Our survey on Limited Atonement continues this week with our third part on this core doctrine. As the third point of the Doctrines of Grace, also known as the "Five Points of Calvinism," Limited Atonement, or the "L" in the acronym TULIP, is often considered the most controversial. But as we will see, the doctrine of Limited Atonement was not merely the machinations of some 16th or 17th century believers, but rather it is the only logical outflow of God's election. In fact, the whole drama of redemption tells one coherent story of a God who chose His people to be saved by one definite sacrifice with one particular high priest. So that is where we start this week, at the beginning of the Old Testament and concluding in the New, as we examine scripture that verifies this doctrine. Please join us for "The Doctrines of Grace: Limited Atonement (Part III)" as we attempt to answer these questions and more!
