Sermon Series Title: Restoring the Future

Brief Overview of Series: The title of this 12-sermon series, Restoring the Future, has been chosen to highlight the fact that the prophetic future, as proclaimed in the Great Awakening (c. 1730–1850), was very different from the eschatology that is popular today. This series restores for Christians today the biblical view of the victorious King Jesus reigning at God's right hand until His enemies are made His footstool.

Brief Overview of Sermon 12: The New Heaven and New Earth is the eternal abode God and redeemed man. In that abode, the purpose of God in the creation of man becomes apparent, i.e., to dwell in harmonious righteousness in which there is no further vulnerability to sin. In this relationship His righteousness will be forever vindicated. Moreover, “in the ages to come” He will show “the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Jesus Christ” (Eph. 2:7).
