Sermon Series Title: Restoring the Future

Brief Overview of Series: The title of this 12-sermon series, Restoring the Future, has been chosen to highlight the fact that the prophetic future, as proclaimed in the Great Awakening (c. 1730–1850), was very different from the eschatology that is popular today. This series restores for Christians today the biblical view of the victorious King Jesus reigning at God's right hand until His enemies are made His footstool.

Brief Overview of Sermon 8: In this session we will analyze the cryptic biblical language of the system called The Beast, see its actual “death” on earth, its short revival, and its final destruction. The “world” (1 John 2:15) or the “powers and principalities” (Eph. 6:12), are terms that refer to a vast system of rebellion comprised of 1) unseen satanic forces of deceit and manipulation, 2) the human usurpers of the power and wealth of God's earth, and 3) all the lesser patrons who are manipulated by the system, and “marvel.”
