Sermon Series Title: Restoring the Future

Brief Overview of Series: The title of this 12-sermon series, Restoring the Future, has been chosen to highlight the fact that the prophetic future, as proclaimed in the Great Awakening (c. 1730–1850), was very different from the eschatology that is popular today. This series restores for Christians today the biblical view of the victorious King Jesus reigning at God’s right hand until His enemies are made His footstool.

Brief Overview of Sermon 7: Under the symbology of the Seven Trumpets and Seven Vials, the Lord gives insight to other related phenomena – the false religious systems undergirding and supporting the powers and principalities. The Trumpets represent the participation of the saints through prayer. The Golden altar upon which is offered incense with the prayers of the saints ascends before the Throne. In response to prayers, the power of the heavenly forces go to work, as related in 8:5-11:19, the Trumpets.
