Sermon Series Title: Restoring the Future

Brief Overview of Series: The title of this 12-sermon series, Restoring the Future, has been chosen to highlight the fact that the prophetic future, as proclaimed in the Great Awakening (c. 1730–1850), was very different from the eschatology that is popular today. This series restores for Christians today the biblical view of the victorious King Jesus reigning at God’s right hand until His enemies are made His footstool.

Brief Overview of Sermon 6: This Lesson introduces us to the heavenly forces which are engaged in the battle of making the enemies of Christ His footstool. Chapter 4 gives us a look at the Throne-room; and the context, as preparatory for the opening of the Seals, implies a battle command center. Chapter 5 introduces a seven-sealed scroll which proves to be, when opened, the actual battle plan executed by Christ who goes out with the purpose to conquer, and he does conquer (6:1-2).
