Job's friends meant to help him. They had a deep care for him. They wanted him to be free from this suffering. So as philosophical doctors they attempt to diagnose Job's problem and they probe into his life. With each suggestion Job suggests that they are not applying the right medicine. It is good medicine but for the wrong situation.
