Providence in Power and Purpose

While we study through 2 Kings, I thought it would be good to throw in some other book studies that apply to the same times and characters we gleaning from in Kings.

I pray these messages encourage and equip you for your assignments today.

"In as much as these people draw near with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandments of men..." Isaiah 29:13

We look a Jeroboam, King David, the Gentile woman Jesus called a dog, Hezekiah and Sennacherib.

When your NEED IS GREATER than your pride... what others say about you won't distract, derail or damage you.

When the NEED pushes pride aside... insults simply become invitations of affirmation, and not insults to injury. She didn't need to be coddled, she needed help for her daughter.

Faith always fights for what faith sees. For faith sees and acts on what God sees.

If you continue to suffer injury over what others say... your pride is greater than your need.

Desperate people are usually unashamed to ask for something they need. They're also not threaten by what others think or say about them when they ask. Why? Their need is greater than the threat or their shame or what others think or what they may say in an attempt to derail, distract or damage them. They posses an unashamed tenacity...

Mark 7:6-9 ; Isaiah 37 ; Isaiah 10
