Unparalleled Wisdom and The Works of God

God's Unparalleled Wisdom and Work

While we study through 2 Kings, I thought it would be good to throw in some other book studies that apply to the same times and characters we gleaning from in Kings.

I pray these messages encourage and equip you for your assignments today.

God's Gracious Wisdom

The Jews would not hear, could not see and should not turn and be healed and saved. Why? The eternal wisdom and purpose of God to open the door of faith to the gentile world. And that salvation is a God thing from start to finish and as many as He will call, both of Jews and Gentiles, shall be saved. (John 12:37-41
; Isaiah 6:9-10 ; Matthew 13:14 ; Mark 4:12 ; Luke 8:10 ; Acts 28:26-28 ; 2 Timothy 1:9 ; Romans 9-11 ; Acts 13)

Taking a closer look at John 12:37-41 and Acts 13:26–52 ; Acts 28:28 and Romans 11:28-36 will help us pull and tie these truths together.

They WOULD NOT (THAT)
THAT... that is, what Isaiah said would be fulfilled. The prophet was baffled about who would hear and who would the arm of the Lord be revealed. Salvation is totally a God thing and is not anything natural man can do for himself. God must work in every aspect of salvation for it to be of God.

They COULD NOT (BECAUSE)
God blinded, sealed and covered up what they would not believe.

They SHOULD NOT (BE ABLE)

1 See
2 Understand
3 Turn

The KEY to it ALL:

That we (the Gentiles), by the grace of God, WOULD hear, COULD see and SHOULD turn and be saved, in step with Acts 13 and Acts 28:26-28 and Romans 9-11.
