The Gospel of the Kingdom - Message 121 - Suffering Under Pontius Pilate - Matthew 27:11-32. The turning of Jesus over to Pilate is referenced in the Apostles Creed and our text this morning shows us what Jesus endured before being crucified. Pilate knew Jesus was innocent and tried 4 times to avoid crucifying Him, but in the end, there was no escape from the determined purpose of God. By His stripes we are healed.
