On the last, goodbye to sin and things that confound. Daily I'm working, I'm praying to and glory to God I'm going through. He set me free, yes He set me free and He broke the bonds of prison for me. I'm glory bound by Jesus to see for glory to God He set me free. All right, good to see everybody tonight. Glad you set me free. Hope everybody's had a good week thus far. Come tonight expecting the Lord to do something for us. Of course, continue to pray for the preacher as he's away preaching tonight over at the Freedom Baptist Church. As far as I know, this will be the last service over here tonight. Went over there Monday night and Tuesday night, and it was a good spirit on the service. Preacher had good liberty to preach and I believe the people got an altar and used altars. I believe the Lord's Doing doing a work there. So just pray for the service tonight pray that Lord would use preacher in a great way on this last night at the meeting Which pray for brother Chris and I he'd be preaching for us here in just a little while. So look forward to that Pray for him by the way of announcements course tomorrow night. We got the lifeline Project and we're preparing some meals My wife we wanted to get a show of hands everybody that was planning on going tomorrow night I know we think we had about 27 that had originally Yep, looks like that's it, 27 or so. All right, I appreciate everybody that's gonna be going tomorrow night. We'll meet down there at six o'clock and we'll knock out some meals. It goes pretty smoothly, though. I mean, everybody works together. It went pretty quick last year. I mean, we were done and I thought, this is it, we're done? I thought we were gonna be there like three or four hours or something, but I mean, we had like done in no time. That's what you can do. Everybody's working together. You've got a good group of people. So I look forward to that. And of course, Saturday morning, we've got a visitation, a breakfast and visitation. So we'll meet here at 9 o'clock for breakfast. And we'll go out and knock on some doors and invite some folks to church. Hopefully, Lord willing, we can talk to some folks. And we'll also want to be preparing the bags for the police officers as well. for our community project for this month as well, Saturday morning. And of course, we've got Missions Day on Sunday morning, so looking forward to that. All you ladies, we'll be preparing for you, your countries and everything. Looking forward to it. I enjoy trying different stuff like that. I mean, I'm not saying I like all of it, but I mean, it's just, I like trying it though. You know, we're not all gonna like everything, You know, I'll try it though. I'm gonna be trying to prepare some Jamaican food myself. Try some jerk pork on the smoker. See how that works. Looking forward to that. And of course, Robert Jones is gonna be coming in and he'll be preaching Sunday morning, Sunday night, and then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night. So look forward to that. He's a great preacher and he'll help you. And I know he'll challenge us towards giving and the missions given and the burden for the lost and all that. And also, let me say this, we'll be renewing our faith promise vows, of course. So if you hadn't already been in prayer about that, you need to be seeking the Lord and praying about what the Lord would have you to give. Over the next year, I just spoke with Brother Daniel, and he says we're gonna look like we're gonna be meeting our goal for this past year, so thank the Lord for that. And of course, I'll be honest, I mean, it's faith promised given. We make a vow, so I mean, there shouldn't be a reason why we don't make our goal. I mean, if everybody gives what they said they was gonna give. But I thank the Lord for that, everybody giving, and of course, keeping the vow you make unto the Lord. So be much in prayer for that and what the Lord will have you give over the next year. So I think that's all I got. As far as announcements, of course, we will be going next Thursday when we're going to the Harvest Baptist Church to sing. And I'm there in that meeting. And Brother Thompson will be preaching in that meeting. So look forward to that as well. So let's take some prayer requests tonight. Anybody got some prayer requests that may be made known, we will try to pray for those tonight. Yes, ma'am. Do you know his name, Ms. Kemp? Brand James. Must be in prayer for him. Yes, ma'am. My sister, she's in law school. Panty, right? OK. She's praying for her grandson Carson. He's 19. I requested prayer before with the soft spot that popped up in the back of his head. I think it's a blood clot pressed at the back of his brain and a vein running through his heart. Let's pray for him. All right. Anybody else? I wanted to offer somebody else to help me, other than being already split with. Which I was just so proud for him, because it's like, I look at Todd and I'm like, I don't know what I'm saying to him, but I was like, what are you saying? And sometimes it feels like suicidal. Let's pray for Isaac. We never know what people are going through and things. A lot of times, sometimes on the outward, they seem fine. A lot of times, we have no idea. Let's pray for him. All right, anybody else? I'm grateful for some of the things that the Lord has allowed me to see and experience. since I've been saved, but I'm interested in experiencing more, seeing some things that I hadn't seen before. And the Lord hasn't changed. He's still on His throne. And He's still, all the things that we read about in the Bible, all the miraculous things He did, He's still the same God, He's still doing for us too. Those men, just like it talks about Elijah, he was a man subject to like passions, passions like as we are. He was just like us. He's just flesh and bone like we are. But he had a, he was hunger for the Lord. He had a walk with God. And that's why he could pray and it not rain. That's what kind of power he had. We could have that same power too. All right, anybody else, any requests of prayer? All right, if you want to physically able, we'll get around the altar here and we'll pray for just a few moments and pray for brother Chris and I to be preaching and we'll have some singing and let's worship the Lord tonight. work with. God, I pray that you give him liberty. Lord, have your will in play, God, in his life. Lord, we pray for this young man, God, that has suicidal thoughts, Lord. God, you know exactly where he's at. Lord, you know what it's going to take to get a hold of him. God, I just pray, dear Lord, that you be in need, God, that only you can do, Lord. Lord, it's outside of our hands, God. Lord, nothing within ourselves, God, can we do, Lord, to change the trajectory of his life. All right boys, let's take up the change money tonight. You may ask what I desire to do with my life, my ambitions, my plans. I must answer that I'm not my own. I'm bought with a price. The slave is subject to him who redeems. And I have no plans, but thus God has to my life when he paid the price to redeem me from Satan's abuse. I've been reserved for the Master's use. You may see me a captive being held against my will. But you don't understand. I'm a slave to my master but I need no chains. I serve him for his love constraineth me and I have no God has made. He bought all rights to my life when He paid. The price to redeem me from Satan's abuse, I've been reserved for the man been reserved for the master's use. Out on the waters, the storm's raging high. The waters around them, they were trouble that night. Their fear filled their hearts. They thought they would die. But they failed to remember the master was nigh. Then he spoke the words and the winds all stood still. Even the waters, they obeyed His will. He calmed their storms, just like He will mine. If I just remember, He lives deep inside. So why should I worry, and why should I fear? When this very same Jesus, He is always so near. He lives in my heart and He hears me when I cry. I'll call on His name till the storm passes by. We read in the Bible how He walked within, brought light to the darkness when the way grew so dim. How great it would be to have His footsteps in my heart. to walk with the master all of the time. And when trials come, and when death seems so nigh, I'll call on the master. I know he'll get there on time. And when sickness comes, and my body's in pain, All I have to do is call on His name. So why should I worry and why should I fear when this very same Jesus, He is always so near? He lives in my heart and He hears me when I cry. Oh, I lost that. Amen. That's right. Amen. Amen. Yes. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Thank God, yes. Amen. Praise the Lord. Amen. Amen. Amen. I guess the preacher would say, anybody else? Amen. Sir? That's it, I didn't start it. Amen. Amen. Amen. Genesis chapter 4. Amen. Genesis chapter 4. Amen. Amen. Got your place? Say amen. Amen. Let's start in verse number one. The Bible says, And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. and Abel. He also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted. And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother, and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not. Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand. When thou tellest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength. A fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth, and from thy face shall I be hid. And I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth, and it shall come to pass that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the Lord said unto him, Therefore, whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. Thank you for standing. You can be seated. Father, thank you, Lord, for this time, God, we've gathered together, Lord. Thank you, God, for these songs, God, tonight. And I thank you, Lord, for these testimonies, God, of your saving grace and your hand and, God, your provision, Lord, and your touch. And God, I pray that you'd help us tonight. And God, you would, Lord, touch this service tonight. God, save those, Lord, closest to hell. God, and I pray for the preacher tonight, that you'd touch him, I pray. And that meeting, Pastor Hensley, Lord, and the Freedom Baptist Church, and may they feel the effects of this meeting, Lord, in the days to come. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen and amen. Cain was the oldest son of Adam and Eve and it would not take long before his sin nature would manifest itself and his parents would see first hand what their sin has done. Amen. His life would be an example of those here of us in the last days. Those who walk in His path would be cursed by God Himself. It's said in Jude verse 11, Woe unto them for they have gone in the way of Cain. Amen. And that's what God said that people in the last days, the false prophets in the last days that thousands of years later were to walk in the same path that Cain walked. Amen. His life would be an example of what not to do. Amen. We must remember all scriptures given by inspiration of God, and it's profitable. And these examples in the Word of God, though negative, amen, that if we listen to them, if we pay attention, can give us a positive impact. If we don't do what they did, amen. Don't ever live your life and say, they did that so I can do that. They got away with it so I can get. No, my friend, we should learn tonight to not go this way. God has given us examples what not to do and not to go the way that Cain went. I notice here in verse 1 that Cain was the very first man ever born. The first man ever born. There's a lot of firsts about Cain. The first man ever born. Verse 1 said, Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived and bare Cain and said, I've gotten a man from the Lord. He's the first one ever born. Verse number 3, the Bible here tells us that Cain was the first man to ever make an offering. to ever make an offering. The Bible said, in the process of time, it came to pass that it came brought of the fruit of the ground, an offering unto the Lord. Amen. If I were to think, if I were just to guess, if you were to ask ten people, a hundred people, who gave the first offering, you might guess Abraham gave the first offering. You might guess Noah gave the first offering. You might guess, amen, Moses gave the first offering. But no, my Bible shows me that Cain made the first offering. Amen. Cain was also the first murderer. In verse number 8, Cain talked with Abel, his brother. It came to pass when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and slew him. I John 3.12 says, Not as Cain. who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him, because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous." Amen. First murderer. Amen. First born. First murderer. First to make an offering. Cain was the first mark man. In verse number 15, the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. I want to say that it's God's business. Vengeance is God's business. He was the first marked man. And God was going to take care of Cain. God was going to deal with Cain. and anybody else that tried to deal with him. God said, no, he's off limits. He's mine to deal with. Let us remember tonight, amen, that you may answer, amen, to your parents. Yes, you will. You may answer to your pastor. Yes, you will. But there's one that's going to deal with you, amen, with righteous judgment, amen, with righteous indignation. THAT KNOWS YOU FOR WHO YOU REALLY ARE. AMEN. AND GOD SAYS DON'T TOUCH HIM. DON'T MESS WITH HIM. AMEN. I'M GONNA DEAL WITH CAIN, THE FIRST MARKED MAN. VERSE 17, I FIND HE WAS THE FIRST BRICKMASON. AMEN. THE BIBLE SAID HE, IN VERSE 17, HE KNEW HIS WIFE AND SHE CONCEIVED AND BEAR ENOCH AND HE BUILDED A CITY. HE BUILDED A CITY. AMEN. THE BIBLE SAID HE CALLED THE NAME OF THE CITY AFTER THE NAME OF HIS SON. A talented man was Cain. A talented man was Cain. But I find here, sadly, that Cain was the first man to ever miss God. Amen. The first man to ever miss God, you can see in the Bible in verses 5 to 7. Amen. He brought an offering, and the Bible said that the Lord had respect to Abel's offering, but to Cain and to his offering, he had not respect. Verse 13 and 14, amen, you notice here, Cain tells God, Thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth, from Thy face shall I be hid, a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth. Oh my friend, he, in verse 16 it says this, he went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod. Cain was the first one to sell his chance, to give up his chance to miss God and to miss being saved. But I want to say since Cain billions and billions have lived and missed God and died and left this world in a lost condition and lifted their eyes up in a burning hell. I thought about this. What does it really mean to miss God? What it means is this, when God reveals you and speaks to you and deals with your heart and shows you you're lost in old time conviction, what you do is this, you turn Him away long enough and you ignore Him long enough and you say no long enough. And before you know it, times pass, the years have stacked upon, year after year after year, and maybe don't come every day. But you've missed God, and you miss God in your youth, and you miss God in your teenage years, and you miss God in your young adult years, and you miss God throughout high school, and you graduate and maybe go to college, AND MAYBE GET A JOB. OH, BUT FRIEND, YOU JUST KEEP PUTTING OFF GOD. OH, YOU'VE GOT BETTER THINGS TO DO. AND MY FRIEND, YOU GROW UP AND YOU DIED LOST WITHOUT GOD AND YOU MISS GOD. AMEN. YOU MISS YOUR CHANCE. YOU SELL YOUR CHANCE. YOU SAY NO TO GOD'S GRACE, NO TO GOD'S FORGIVENESS, NO TO REPENTANCE. AMEN. I WAS TALKING TO SOMEBODY THIS WEEK. AMEN. ME AND AUSTIN WAS THERE TALKING TO HIM A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HIS SOUL Christ and about all that He's done. And my friend, He gave this and that excuse and He named this and that. But there at the end of it, I'll tell you what He was really saying. Here's what He was really saying. I love my sin too much to repent. And the Bible still says in John 3 that men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. And Cain grew up and he missed God. Oh friend, you can miss a lot of things in your life. Amen. And be just fine. Amen. You may never build a city. Oh friend, my friend, do not miss God. PREACHER PREACHED IT. BROTHER FRAZIER SAID IT. YOU MISS HEAVEN, YOU MISS IT ALL. AMEN. YOU MISS HEAVEN, YOU MISS IT ALL. OH, FRIEND, KANE WAS THE VERY FIRST EXAMPLE, THE VERY FIRST PERSON WE CAN LOOK TO OF WHAT HAPPENS TO SOMEBODY'S LIFE WHEN THEY MISS GOD, WHEN THEY REFUSE TO BE SAVED. OH, FRIEND, AND I BELIEVE EVERYBODY THAT MISSES GOD WILL DO SOME OF THE EXACT SAME THINGS THAT KANE DID. And that's my message tonight. Amen. The first man that missed God. Amen. The first man that missed God. Amen. Number one, he missed God in spite of his privilege. In spite of his privilege. Verse one, the Bible said, And Adam knew Eve's wife, and she conceived him, bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And so here's what Cain had. Cain had two parents. that knew God, amen, not just with their head, but Cain had both parents that knew God personally, amen, that heard God with their own ears, that heard His voice in the garden, walking around, And the cool of the day, oh my friend, they knew Him. And God, they tried to cover up their sin. They tried to hide from God. And then they tried to run from God. Oh, but you can't hide from God. You can't run from God. Oh, friend, He knows your faults. Far off, He knows your heart. He knows your intentions, amen. Oh, He knows what your desires are. Oh, friend, His parents, they were created by God. Amen, God Himself. Oh, I can hear Adam now telling Cain about the day. Oh, son, I was nothing but dust. I was nothing but dirt. Friend, ain't that what you and I are? Amen, this evening we're dirt, we're dust, and Adam tells Cain, God made me, and he breathed in my nostrils the breath of life, and son, I became a living soul. Well, Dad, how'd you meet Mom? Well, God put me to sleep. Amen. And I woke up, and there she was. Amen. Amen. That's kind of humorous to imagine. Amen. I'm going to go to sleep tonight and hope that happens. Amen. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Amen. Yeah. I just hope I ain't missing nothing. Amen. I'm talking about something literally. Amen, that really happened. Amen, that's how I met your mom. Amen, created by God. Oh, friend, caught by God. Sin, ran from God. Amen, and God says, Adam, where art thou? Amen, Adam, where art thou? And God caught him right in the middle of it. Amen. And your mom and dad may never catch you, but God knows what you're doing. Amen. Amen. He's caught by God and then clothed by God. Amen. They tried to cover it up. But you can't cover your sin. Only God can cover your sin. Amen. And God, the Lord God, oh son, I tell you one day I ran from God and God caught me. I was guilty, caught me red-handed. And I said, Lord, I was afraid. Oh, because I was naked. And the Lord told me, son, who told you I was naked? And he said, we did wrong. We ate of the tree and we tried to cover ourselves. But one day the God of heaven killed an animal and shed its blood and came. And what I tried to cover myself, son, God came and God covered me. God covered me. Amen. Fully clothed. Amen. Top to bottom. Amen. Clothed by God. Amen. I'm gonna say this, you can have all that and still miss God. Amen. If you have one parent, if you have one parent, amen, that loves God, you better count yourself blessed. Amen. Amen. You have no idea, amen, how many out there Amen, have parents that never take them to church. Amen, that don't make them go to church. Don't make them go to Sunday school. Don't make them go to revival. And you have heard more things, amen, by the time you're, amen, 11, 12, 13, than some kids will ever hear in their whole life. Amen. Amen. Amen. What a privilege. What a privilege. You can miss God. I had a pastor. You can miss God with the privilege of a pastor. Every week you hear the truth, you hear the truth, you hear the truth, and you say, I don't want to hear that. Amen, I don't want to believe that. I refuse that. I choke it down. I say no. I've got better things on my mind. I've got playing on my mind, movies on my mind, games on my mind. All that stuff, I'll deal with that when I'm older. Oh, but my friend, you may never have a chance when you're older. Amen. The pastor, Judas, you know, Judas heard Jesus every week. Amen. Every day. Amen. Three and a half years. Amen. And missed God. Amen. I want to say he missed God, his privilege and his potential. You know what Eve said about Cain? First thing she said about him. I have gotten a man from the Lord. From the Lord. Amen. But 1 John 3 tells me Cain was of that wicked one. Amen. When Eve saw Cain, she said this little boy is from God. But life went on. Time went on. And the man that was from the Lord Amen. Became a man of the devil. Amen. And what potential. A man from the Lord. What potential. Amen. What potential. Amen. Could he have been? Amen. Could he have been for God? Oh, the firstborn, no doubt. Amen. Would have been the lineage. Would have been in the line for the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, but he wasted it away. What could his life have been? What could his chance have been if he would have just did right? And then God said, Thou doest well, shalt not be accepted. Oh friend, he would have been accepted. All he had to do was do right and bring the right sacrifice. Bring the blood and then bring the lamb. Oh, but my friend, he wasted his potential. Man, you got potential. Amen. If you'll give it to God. Number two, he had a profession. Amen. Verses three to five, you'll see he brought the offering first. Amen. Amen. The Bible said Abel brought also. Amen. The end of verse four, the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering, but unto Cain and his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell. Amen. You need to realize that Cain Cain believed in God. Cain believed in God. Amen. Cain, read all the way through this. Cain, Pete, had a literal one-on-one conversation with God. Amen. Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth. Amen. Cain believed in God. The Bible said the devils will also believe in Tremble. It's not enough to believe in God. Amen. It's not enough to just believe in God. Amen. You must be born again. Amen. You must believe not just in Him. You must believe on Him. And your soul's trust must turn from your sin. And Medua 180 and say no. I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold. And you let go, and you let God, and you turn to Christ, and you depend upon Him to be saved. Cain believed in God. Cain brought an offering. For a preacher, I'm not coming empty-handed. Cain wasn't either. Amen. Cain did not bring what God required. God did not want fruit. Amen. God wanted blood. God did not want works. God wanted blood. Hebrews 9.22 says, And almost all things are by the law purged with BLOOD, AND WITHOUT SHEDDING OF BLOOD THERE IS NO REMISSION. THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS WITHOUT BLOOD. MY FRIEND CAIN DID THE BEST THAT HE COULD, AND HE BROUGHT HIS WORKS. AMEN. NO DOUBT IT LOOKED WAY MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN ABEL'S SACRIFICE. OH, WHAT A BLOODY MESS. WHAT A HORROR. Oh, what an awful mess. Every one of us here tonight probably would not look for one second at Abel's offering. Oh, would turn away. How gross. How awful. Oh, a little lamb. Oh, and how beautiful was Cain's offering. But my friend, to God's eyes. Oh, how beautiful was the blood. How precious is the blood. Oh, thank God. That's all that he accepts. And the Bible said that God When he looked at Abel's sacrifice, Jonah, that means God respected it. And God says, I receive that. Amen. I accept that. Amen. But when he looked at Cain's, he didn't have respect. He did not receive it. And he says, I don't want that. I'm not going to accept that. And you must realize, that God will not accept anything that you have to offer. Amen. Preacher, I don't cuss. I don't drink. I've never smoked. You can still miss God. You can still miss God. I thought about that in Matthew 7. The Lord Jesus Christ said this, and the billions and billions that have ever lived, Pete, the billions and billions, And then Jesus said this, that not few, but many will say to me, Lord, Lord, amen. And have we not done wonderful works and have we not cast out devils? And Lord, we've done it in your name. We've done it in your name. Oh friend, we're all Isaiah 64, six, we're all as an unclean thing. I mean, all our righteousness are filthy rags. I mean, that rag, Phoebe, was an old leprous, leprous rag. Amen, what that rag was is them sores they'd have, all that nasty, putrefying sores. They'd wrap them up. Amen. And amen, that rag, they'd have to burn them. They'd have to wipe. They'd have to burn them. They'd have to throw them away, the pus and all the filth. Putrefying, wicked, nasty, leprous rags. But all of our righteousnesses... He didn't say all of our righteousness. He said all of our righteousnesses. I mean, that's everything. It's every good thing you can do. It's a filthy rag. It's a filthy rag. Amen. He brought an offering. Good works, your good ain't going to outweigh your bad. Amen. Baptism ain't going to save you. Amen. Austin was knocking doors on this street, maybe a year ago, maybe more. We talked to a lady. Amen. And we asked her, have you ever been saved? And she said, yeah, hold on one second. And it's so sad what happened. And then she went to the back room, Jeremiah, And she come out, she said, yeah, I've been saved. And she brought out her baptismal certificate. She said, see, this is what I'm talking about. And I said, ma'am, that's not being saved. That's not being saved. And you may not, you may not run and get a piece of paper. Amen. But when a rubber meets the road to what God knows you're trusting in, what God knows you're depending on to take you to heaven, Where does your heart go? What is your heart trusting in? Amen. If it's anything but the blood, you're going to miss God. You're going to miss God. Amen. Oh, religion do better. Amen. He needed the new birth. Abel brought the blood. What are you bringing? I'm glad I brought the blood. Hallelujah. Oh, Ephesians 1-7, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. 1 Peter 1-18, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ. as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Thank God for the blood. It's still the blood that saves from sin. Oh, thank God it's still the blood that cleanses within. Oh, my friend, you may not see the wickedness of your sin. Oh, but I'm praying God will deal with your heart. AND GOD WILL SPEAK TO YOUR HEART AND THAT SIN BY THE COMMANDMENT MIGHT BECOME EXCEEDING SINFUL. OH, I FEEL LIKE PAUL OF THE DAY I GOT SAVED. OH, THANK GOD SIN REVIVED IN ME AND I DIED. OH, THANK GOD THAT EVERY MOUTH MAY BE STOPPED AND ALL THE WORLD MAY BECOME GUILTY BEFORE GOD. AMEN. AMEN. Number three, he missed God because of his pride, because of his pride. Verse six said, the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth, and why is thou countenance fallen? If thou doest well, SHALT THOU NOT BE ACCEPTED? IF THOU DOEST NOT WELL, SEND LIFE AT THE DOOR. MY FRIEND CAIN WAS ANGRY. CAIN WAS MAD AT GOD FOR TURNING HIM AND HIS OFFERING AWAY. HE KNEW THAT GOD REQUIRED BLOOD, BUT HE DID IT HIS OWN WAY. YOU CANNOT MAKE A DEAL WITH GOD. YOU CANNOT WORK UP A DEAL WITH GOD. AND PRIDE HAS CAUSED BILLIONS TO MISS GOD AND TO MISS JESUS AND TO GO TO HELL. Amen. God resisteth the proud. God resisteth the proud. I mean, what that means, Pete, if you'll walk toward me. Brother, come on, you can stand up. And if you'll walk toward me, keep coming toward me. God resisteth the proud. Keep coming to me. God resisteth the proud. And God resisteth the proud. But the Bible says God gives grace to the humble. To the humble. Amen. Thank you. Amen. Gives grace to the humble. Amen. And God's going to resist you. Too proud to admit you lost. Too proud to come to God and be saved. Amen. There are those in this building tonight that have never made a profession. Amen. That have never come to forward. Amen. I can't make you do that. Only the Holy Spirit can. Amen. You, the Bible says, Jesus said in Matthew 18, maybe I just need to slow down, I don't know. Matthew 18. Jesus said, he called a little child unto him and set him in the midst and said, verily I say unto you, except you be converted and become as little children. Amen. The Bible said this, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Amen. I remember when I was coming up, I thought I was getting around 10, 11, 12, middle school, 13, 14, amen, getting into high school. I thought I really was an adult. I thought I really was an adult. Amen. But I want to say this. No matter how old you are mentally, I mean physically rather, God sees the age of your heart. Amen. And you must humble yourself and admit you need Jesus or you will not go to heaven. You must get down. You must get down. Amen. I want to say I believe he missed God because he procrastinated. Verse 7 said this, if thou do us not well, sin lieth at the door. Sin lieth at the door. Cain made a choice not to do well. Amen. What did he mean by do well? What he means is, I really believe God gave Cain another chance. Amen. He said, Thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted. And Cain got one more chance. If thou doest not well, brother Joe, he said, sin is lying at the door. Sin is waiting at the door. And that is a door that Cain opened that he never could shut ever again. Amen. And he didn't do well and he put it off and he put it off and he put it off and he put it off. We could get Brother Daniel. We could go out here. We could all get in our cars. We could follow each other. We could ride together. We could find the closest graveyard. Amen. We could find somebody younger than everybody in this building. Amen. We could find somebody younger than Jackson, Jonah, Lily, Phoebe. Younger than Caleb. Younger than myself. Younger than Austin. Younger than Brother Chris. Amen. Put it off. Put it off. We sadly heard about a young man tonight at eight years old. Eight years old with cancer. With cancer. Death is no respecter of persons. Amen. And death, Jeremiah said, Babylon was on the way, Brother Frankie. And Jeremiah said, death has come up into our windows. And death is watching. Amen. You know what the devil wants to say, and preachers preached last couple of Wednesdays the salvation message. And I don't know why the flesh recalls it sometimes like that about even myself preaching something like this tonight. But all I could think about was people die on Wednesday nights. And people go to hell on Wednesdays. People go to hell on Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday night. Amen. He put off God through his jealousy. He murdered his own brother. He murdered his own brother. Satan won't tell you not to get saved. The devil will never tell you not to get saved. Amen. But he'll just tell you to wait. He'll just tell you to wait. He'll just tell you to wait. You know what Cain did? He waited. He waited and became wicked. Hey man, what did waiting cause that made him become wicked? He killed his own brother, Pete. Killed his own brother. They talked in the field that day. Hey man, he killed his own brother. If you put off God, there is no telling as to what you might do. In this world, I think about my brother Jonathan. Hey man, same camp, same messages. Heard the same messages, Phoebe. Amen. Same services. Amen. I think about some of them powerful services we was in. But he kept missing his chance. He kept missing his chance. Camp came around. I've seen him. I've seen him tremble. I saw him. I saw him tremble under conviction, Jeremiah. I remember I was at Tabernacle one time. Brother Doug Thompson was preaching. Amen. And I wasn't even saved, and I saw Jonathan trembling. And I went back to Betty, and I didn't know no better. I said, Jonathan's struggling. And Steve Burleson looked at me and said, is your brother saved? I said, I don't know. I don't know. But he missed God. He missed God. He missed God. And then service after service, next thing you know, years go by, years go by. He's into things he never thought he'd do. He's putting things in his body he never thought he'd try. Amen. And to hear that, he became a wicked man. Amen. He became a wicked man. He started to wander. In verse 11, the Bible said he was cursed from the earth. He was a vagabond, a fugitive. In verse 15, amen. In verse number 16, the Bible said he went out from the presence of the Lord. He went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelled in the land of Nod. The word Nod, it means to wander. It means wandering. What that means is Cain left the presence of God and he started to wander and he started to walk away from God. And I believe from that point on, he never was in the presence of God ever again. God never spoke to his heart again. God never gave him another chance. Amen. He was never troubled about his soul. He never had thoughts of dying, thoughts of eternity. Amen. Thoughts of sin, thoughts of hell, thoughts of heaven. Oh my friend, he put off God. He started to wander. Amen. He started to go. He had no aim. He had no goal. He had no life. He was a fugitive, a vagabond. He had no home. Oh, but my friend, from the second Abel died, he stepped into the presence of God. He stepped into the presence of the Lord. And Abel went to heaven, but Cain went to hell. He wandered. He wandered. And God has, I believe, spoken to your heart. Amen. And He will speak to your heart. Amen. And I'll never be foolish enough to say this, that God will never deal with you again. I don't know. I'm not God. And I can't choose that. I can't determine that. I can't decide that. I can't say God will never deal with you again. But you can't come to me tonight and say that God will. Amen. Amen. I think about an old preacher, I can't call his name now, I can't remember, but he was worried about his friends. He was worried about his friends getting saved. His godly mother, Brother Joe, would say, you need to be saved, you need to be saved, you need to be saved. He kept saying, my friends will laugh at me. My friends will laugh at me. My friends will laugh at me. One day his mother said this, your friends may laugh you into hell, but they'll never laugh you out. Amen. Cain started to weep. He put off God and started to weep. Verse 13, Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Than I can bear. And I believe he's saying that tonight. My punishment is greater than I can bear. And you can't see it and you can't imagine it. But there's a day coming. that if you miss God and don't get saved, amen, you will say, it's greater than I can bear. And you, in your heart and your mind, you will be filled with regret like I could never explain. Amen, regret. Hey man, son, remember. Hey man, that's what Abraham told the rich man. Son, remember. Thou in thy lifetime received the good things and likewise Lazarus received the evil things. But now he's comforted and thou art tormented. Esau, Esau missed God for just a little meal. One little morsel of meat. Sold his birthright. Missed God for just a little old meal. Judas missed God for just 30 pieces of silver, a little bit of money. Man, the unrepentant thief missed God just by minutes. Oh, as he hears. TODAY SHALT THOU BE WITH ME IN PARADISE. AS THE BLOOD RUNS, AND THEY PIERCED HIS SIDE, THE THIEVES WERE NOT DEAD YET. OH, THE BLOOD RAN. THERE WAS A FOUNTAIN FILLED WITH BLOOD, AND ZACHARIAS SAID, THAT FOUNTAIN SHALL BE OPEN. AND THE THIEF WAS THERE, AND BOTH THIEVES WERE THERE, AND THEY HAD TO BREAK THEIR LEGS. AND AS THEY DIED, AS THEY WERE DRAWING THEIR LAST BREATHS, THE OTHER THIEF CALLED ON GOD, BUT THE OTHER ONE REFUSED. missed God by minutes. Pharaoh missed God because he had made his heart hard. Hey man, Felix missed God because he wanted more time. Hey man, you know what he said? I want a convenient season. When it's convenient, Paul, I'll call for you. When it's convenient, Paul, I'll call. But I turned the page, and I turned the page, and I turned the page, and Felix never calls Paul. Why? Because conviction is never convenient. And it never will be. God will deal with you when he wants to deal with you. Amen. Cain missed God and became a murderer. He missed God and became a murderer. Oh, my friend, the first man that missed God. I'm glad. I just want to say tonight, I'm glad that I didn't miss God. I'm glad He gave me a chance. I'm glad He gave me another chance. I'm glad He dealt with me. I'm glad He was patient with me. And you have no idea how much He loves you. Amen. For tonight, He may just be giving you another chance. Amen. Let's bow our heads. Amen. Brother Caleb will just come, or excuse me, Miss Brittany. Amen. It's okay if you don't have a song. Amen. But if you'll come tonight. Amen. Every head bowed and every eye closed. And I tell you what, let's stand if we're physically able. Let's just stand, nobody's moving around.
