An Image of Gold

As we turn to the words of our text together, we readily realize that this King Nebuchadnezzar’s supposed “profession” concerning the God of Israel was entirely insincere or exceedingly short-lived. For no sooner does he extol Yahweh as being the “God of God’s and the Lord of Kings” than he demands that everyone within his kingdom bow down and worship An Image of Gold!
