The Thankful Life

Paul along with Silas and Timothy now turn to what will help to perfect what is lacking in the faith of the Thessalonians. This is not a defect in saving faith but the right outworking of their faith. They have trusted in Jesus for their whole and sole wellbeing and now that will affect how they live. This encouragement will benefit each of them individually and altogether as a church, as well as bring glory to God. This sermon calls us to ground our obedience in the work of Jesus Christ so that our obedience springs from thankfulness.
