Misplaced Accountability

Wow, what a tragedy. What a tragic end, to what could've been greatness. Simply because the little boy, who was hidden away from his grandmother, never grew up. And he was always manipulate or mislead, by those who he submitted his authority to. Whether that be Jehoiada, or the corrupt leaders over the nation. You see the leaders of Judah, at the time, allowed Jehoiada to have his way, as long as he had ear of the king. But soon as the priest dies, they take advantage of the opportunity, and roll right on in. I want to tell you, this old enemy of ours will wait a long long time, to get you. That's all he's got, he knows his time is short, but time is all he's got. He knows this old world ain't his.

"Joash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him." (2 Kings 12:2 ; 2 Chronicles 24:2)

When your accountability is to people that walk with God, but not to God, first, when those people, who were important to your direction, are no longer in your life... the first things you'll neglect are the things of God. And because you failed to be responsible to God, you'll yield your responsibilities and accountability to another person or group of people that will now fill the void in your life. And the results will be the same, the decision you make will lack the fear of God, His favor and wisdom. No man or group of men can ever replace or substitute a personal relationship with Jesus...
