It's the 16th of March. Early morning. Couldn't sleep. Caught up. Decided to do this broadcast. I've entitled this broadcast, Totally Amazing. Have you been totally amazed by something? It's hard to understand. The disciples and the people that saw the miracles of Jesus were totally amazed. They were in awe. They marveled. Luke 9 43 says, and they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. They wondered every one of all the things which they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. Well, amazing grace how sweet the sound saved a wretch like me amazing grace right Matthew 12 23 and all the people were amazed and said is not this the son of david Well, you know, have you ever had something in your life that totally amazed you? I had a situation happen to me one time and I'll just share it with you. Now a lot of people are probably going to raise their eyebrows, especially those that don't believe in angels are present today. By the way, the Bible says that some have entertained angels unawares. Is that what it says? Another one says that angels are ministering spirits. Yes, I do believe in angels today. Hebrews 13, 2, Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Judges 622, when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord God, for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face. After my son was diagnosed with a brain degenerative disease, I was really struggling. trying to help him any way I could. All new territory for me, and I was under a great amount of anguish over that. And one thing that seemed to happen to calm my son down was when I'd take him on rides. So I said, Mark, I want to take you on a ride. So I started out in the car, taking him on a ride. And I remember we were living in Independence, Missouri, and I was headed up the exit from 435. And there was an old, old man standing there, probably in his late 70s, early 80s, hitchhiking. And I remember I said to Mark, look at this old man hitchhiking. Can you imagine he's this old and out hitchhiking? I'm going to pick him up. So I pulled over to the side of the road. He got in the car and I tried to strike up a conversation with him. And I said, where are you headed? And as much as I can remember, because I was really shocked, he said, it doesn't matter where I'm going. He said, that's not why I'm here. He said, I'm here to encourage you and the young man that's here with you. He says, you're going through from some very difficult times, but I want to let you know you're going to make it through it. It's going to be all right. And I was in shock. And he said, just let me off at the next exit. I've done what I'm supposed to do. And Mark was really got to and we pulled over the side over the next exit and he got out. We looked down and he was gone. He wasn't there. I believe it was an angel of the Lord sent to encourage both me and Mark. well we see a lot of appearances of angels throughout the Old Testament and we see the angels a multitude of heavenly hosts praising God and saying in Luke 2 glory to God in the highest peace on earth goodwill toward men we see the angel appearing unto Mary we see the angel appearing to Joseph And we're going to see the presence of angels in the last days. Revelation 18, after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven having great power and the earth was lightened with his glory. Revelation 5, with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the book to loose the seals? The angel appeared to Cornelius, and Acts 10.3 saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, saying to him, Cornelius. Well, the angel spoke to Cornelius, An angel appeared to Mary after the resurrection. An angel answered and said unto the woman, Fear ye not, ye, I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. Matthew 1.24 Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife. Remember the maid that saw Peter after he had been freed from prison and they said, thou art mad. They said, it is an angel. Things happen in our life that are beyond explanation sometimes. And it is amazing. how God works and some very, very remarkable ways to make His presence known and to show His power and His glory. God is not limited by time or space. God is not limited by anything. God has all power in heaven and earth. And nothing can stay His hand or say unto Him, what doest thou? And sometimes we forget that God is the Creator. He created all things. And by Him all things consist. So when we think that there's no hope, realize we're serving an almighty God, a powerful God who called the worlds into existence. So be encouraged this morning if you're feeling like God is not present or he's not working in your life, realize that he's there all the time. And he has all power in heaven and earth. May the good Lord be with you today in a special way is my prayer. We plan on having a service later on because we're not be going to Joplin. My wife is still struggling with this, whatever it is, hacking and coughing. She's not been able to shake it. So pray that God would deliver her from that.
