Thank you for listening to Servants for Christ. And all that we do and all that we say, we want to give glory and honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for tuning us in as we get into the wonderful Word of God. For the next few minutes, let's take the beautiful Word of God and share it with each and every one of you as we have a sense of anticipation to take the Word of God and to listen to its truth for each and every one. continue on in our revival from our series from Sunday to Sunday with Christ. Here, Friday night, we'll be talking about another acronym of faith. F-A-I-T-H. Walk by faith and not by sight. I'm glad Paul tells us two scriptures that we focus on, and that is, as we focus on it, we'll be looking at 2 Corinthians 5, verse 7, and Hebrews 11, verse 6. And I'll read the scriptures in just a minute, but faith tonight is the foundation of our relationship with God. And so, as we look back at some of the things that we have done, We started out Sunday talking about worship, living in his presence. And on Sundays, we focus on worship, reminding us that the true worship is a lifestyle, not just a church service. The W, walk with God daily. The O, offer yourself as a living sacrifice. The R, rejoice in the Lord always. The S, seek first the kingdom of God. The H, honor God with your life. The I, invest in eternity. And the P, praise the Lord continually. Then on Monday, We went into the acronym of MOVE, M-O-V-E, where we start the week with purpose. How to move on Mondays and set the tone for the rest of the week. The M was meditate on God's word. The O, obey what he reveals. The V, value time and prayer. And E, encourage someone in faith. And I'm glad that I had King James Version Scripture with each one of these. Tuesday, we dealt with trust, T-R-U-S-T, depend on God fully. How on Tuesdays we focus on deepening our trust in God by applying trust in our daily walk. The T of the acronym TRUST, turn to God in every situation. The R, remember his faithfulness. The U, understand that his ways are higher. The S, surrender all your worry and fear. And the T, take steps of faith. When we got to Wednesday, we dealt with the acronym of WORK, W-O-R-K, serve God with purpose. It was out of Colossians chapter three. Because on Wednesdays, we refocus on serving God diligently with work. And with the acronym of W-O-R-K, of work, the W stands for worship God through your work. The O, offer your talents to God. R, reach others through your work. And K, keep a kingdom mindset. When we got on into Thursday, We dealt with the acronym of T-I-M-E, time. Spend it wisely for God, out of Ephesians 5, 16 and Psalms 90. And I'm glad. that here Friday, we look at faith, how that we walk by faith. I'm glad that Thursday reminds us that time is a precious gift from God, one that should be used wisely and intentionally. And I'm glad that scripture urges us to redeem the time because our days are fleeting. Every moment presents an opportunity to grow in faith and serve others and glorify God. And when we embrace time, we make each day count for his kingdom. And so I'm glad with Thursdays, spend it wisely for God. The T stands for take time for God every day. The I, invest in others by serving and discipline. The M, make every moment count for eternity. And the E, evaluate your time daily to stay on track. And so by managing our time, With heavily a focus, we ensure that our days are spent fulfilling God's purpose, leaving a lasting impact for His glory. That brings us up till tonight, Friday night of the acronym of faith, walk by faith and not by sight. Remember, I've used so many acronyms over the years in the military, but you know what? Life is a journey of faith, not just a moment of worship on Sunday morning. Too often, believers experience a spiritual high on Sunday only to struggle through the rest of the week feeling disconnected from God. But what if our worship didn't stop at the church doors? What if Sunday's devotion became Monday's motivation, Tuesday's trust, and Wednesday's witness? You know what? When we look from Sunday to Sunday with Christ, we can explore what it means to walk with Jesus every day of the week. Through scripture, through the practical application, we learn how to keep Christ at the center of our lives, turning Sunday's inspiration into daily transformation. And so, from the triumph of the resurrection in the month of March is the reason that I write this series to the trials of every day of life. We see how Jesus is not just our savior for Sunday, but our shepherd for every step that we take. Each message we look at, we can grow deeper in our relationship with him. Our faith is not just a weekend experience, but a daily walk of worship and obedience and love. Listen, are you ready to take your faith beyond the pew into your daily life? Will you join me tonight as we get a reviving from our series, From Sunday to Sunday with Christ. Now, let's open up with a word of prayer and we'll read the word of God. Heavenly Father, we come before you. with hearts open and ready to receive your word. May a revival begin in all of our hearts this week. You've called us to walk by faith and not by sight, and we acknowledge that without you, we are blind to the path ahead. Strengthen our trust in you, even when we do not understand where you are leading us. And Lord, I've been there so many times, but yet, even though that I don't understand it, I know that I need to obey it. remove our fears and doubts and uncertainties, and replace them with unwavering confidence in your promises. Holy Spirit, speak to us tonight. Ignite our faith, deepen our dependence on you, and remind us that you're always in control. And Lord, I pray that Lord, that together as we glorify you, shape us into believers who live by faith every day. In Jesus' marvelous mighty name, we pray. Now, I don't know, I'll give you time to turn over in the Word of God to 2 Corinthians 5-7 and to Hebrews 11-6 because Paul started out and he said in 2 Corinthians 5-7, he says, For we walk by faith and not by sight. The Hebrew writer of 11-6 says, But without faith it is impossible to please him. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. when we know that faith is the foundation of all of our relationships with God. We see that 2 Corinthians 5, 7 declares that we're to walk by faith, while the writer of Hebrews 11, 6 emphasizes that faith is essential to pleasing God. And so, I'm glad that every one of us were reminded that true faith is not based on what we can see, but on trusting in the unseen promises of God. And so, as we look at what God has for us tonight, I'm glad that we can trust and step out on faith as well, because all of us have been in that category. You know, during the Second World War, a group of soldiers was trapped behind enemy lines, and they had no way of knowing what lay ahead. They relied on their commander's voice over the radio, and he told them exactly when to move, where to hide, and when to press forward. And though they couldn't see the full picture, They obeyed every word, trusting His guidance with their lives. And eventually, they made it out safely because they walked by faith and not by sight. Well, that reminds us of our acronym denied of Friday, FAITH, F-A-I-T-H, walked by faith and not by sight because our Christian journey is much the same. We don't always see the full plan, but God calls us to trust Him completely. Faith is not about seeing. It's about believing that God is leading us even when the way forward seems unclear. And so, as we look ahead, as we walk by faith and not by sight, because without faith it is impossible to please Him, but faith isn't just saying we believe. It's trusting God enough to act on it. And so, when we start out tonight, On Friday, we focus on faith, remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God, even when we don't understand everything. And so, the first F of the acronym of faith is follow God completely. Proverbs chapter three, verses five and six, trust in the Lord with all thy heart, lean not on thy own understanding, and in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Well, faith is about surrender, not half-hearted belief. Abraham left his homeland without knowing where he was going in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 8. And because he trusted God completely. Well, many people trust God with some areas of their lives, but still try to control others. You know, I've had a lot of people recently that tried to make control in my life, but I will not allow it. True faith lets God lead in everything. And so, when we look, We've got to be able to surrender our plans and trust God's direction. We've got to obey immediately, even when you don't have all of the answers. Oswald Chambers, another one of my many writers that I love to read about and have many books on, said, faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the one who is leading, unquote. And so, as we look tonight and Friday about faith, we focus on faith, remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God, even when we don't understand everything. And so the F of faith stands for follow God completely. The A of faith tells us to act in obedience. The word of God in James 2, verse 17 tells us, even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead being alone. You see, faith is more than believing. It's doing. And Noah built the ark before it started raining. And back then, there was no such thing as rain. The water seeped up from the ground. Moses lifted his staff before the Red Sea parted and faith begins to act. Peter walked on the water because he stepped out of the boat. But when he looked at the waves, instead of Jesus, he sank. Faith focuses on Jesus and not circumstances. I thank God we've got to step out in faith and don't wait for perfect conditions. We've got to obey even when you don't fully understand God's plan. I'm glad that I can see that the future, that here before long, Instead of just being internationally will be going globally soon I'm so excited about that to know that people in every country in the world will be not listening to my voice But they'll be listening to the voice of their own tongue Globally in the entire world and it will be with the accent of their Understanding and so it won't be my old country pumpkin voice. It will be of that same voice pattern and but it will be to their understanding. And I'm excited to be able to reach out through the media and technology in such a way. Martin Luther King Jr. said that faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. And so on Fridays, we focus on faith, remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God even when we don't understand everything. The F of faith, follow God completely. The A of faith, act in obedience. But the I of faith, Ignore fear and doubt. You know it's hard to do sometimes. I know because I've stared death many times. More times than I share to even talk about to be honest with you. I don't even like to talk about it because it was a very scary time. But Isaiah 41 10 says, fear they're not for I'm with thee, be not dismayed for I'm thy God and I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. And so I'm glad that Friday faith that we walk by faith and not by sight because fear and faith cannot live in the same heart. And I'm glad David faced Goliath, not because he had no fear, but because his faith in God was greater than his fear. And fear says, what if I fail? Faith says, God is with me. And I'm glad that it is. It's with you, pastor. It is with you, Sunday school teacher. It is with you, church member. And I'm glad that we can replace fear with faith in God's promises. We can declare scripture when doubts arise. And so a writer that made a quote that was unknown that I read one time said, feed your faith and your fears will starve to death, unquote. And I believe that. And so on Fridays, we focus on faith, remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God, even when we don't understand everything. Now this little revival through this week is very short. There are no more than 15 to 20 minutes of a message, but yet it's not designed to make you tired. It's not designed to draw you out. It's a very, very short message to revive you and to remind you who you are, and so we spell the acronym as we so go forward. The F, follow God completely. The A, act in obedience. The I, ignore fear and doubt. But the T, trust God's timing. The writer of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11 says, he hath made everything beautiful in his time. And I'm not going to read all of it because I want you to focus on just that. God's never late, but he's never early. His timing is perfectly. Joseph spent years in prison before becoming second in command to all of Egypt that rescued the entire nation of Israel. If he had rushed God's plan, he wouldn't have been ready for his purpose. And waiting is not wasted time, it's preparation time. Right now, the Holy Spirit begins to speak to my heart, give me things that I never ever thought of. I'm reminded of what Joel chapter two, verse 28 tells me. I'm reminded of Acts chapter two, verse 17. Listen to the similarities of these two scriptures of the Old Testament and of the New Testament. And it says in Joel chapter two, verse 28, and it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy. Your old men shall dream dreams. Your young men shall see visions. I believe in that time. Let me tell you and read to you Acts 2, verse 17, and see how familiar that it sounds. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. Wow, how similar that is. Yes, be patient. God is working behind the scenes. Yes, trust his delays, they are not denials. Warren Wiersbe, one of my favorite and always enjoyed sitting under him and listening to his teaching, Warren Wiersbe, is God's delays are not God's denials. And so on Fridays, we focus on faith. remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God even when we don't understand everything. The F, we follow God completely. The A, we act in obedience. The I of faith, we ignore fear and doubt. And then the T, well, of faith, we see that we trust God's timing. But lastly, as we spell out faith here on Friday night, walking by faith and not by sight, the H stands for hold on to God's promises. I'm glad Paul said in Romans 4, verses 20 and 21, notice how much scripture that I'm giving you because there's nothing more powerful than scripture. Scripture is powerful and when you begin to take it in, it'll do something for you that nothing else in this world can do. I know. And so Romans chapter 4 verses 20 and 21, he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Wow. Hold on to God's promises. God always keeps his promises, doesn't he? I'm glad that Sarah laughed when God promised she'd have a child in her old age, but God fulfilled His word. And when things look impossible, remember God specializes in the impossible. You need to stand firm on God's word. His promises will never fail you. Praise God in advance because He's going to come through, because He's going to do what He says He'll do. Oh man, Corrie Ten Boom said, faith is believing that God will do what he said, even when it seems impossible. And so, as I get ready to close out, there was a young boy and there was a father that were hiking a deep mountain trail. At one point, they came to a very deep ravine. The father jumped across first. Then he turned and he held out his arms and he cried out, jump, he said. and the boy hesitated. He couldn't see the bottom. Fear began to grip him, but then he heard his father's voice again. Do you trust me? Taking a deep breath, the boy leaped and his father caught him safely. Faith is taking that leap even when we can't see the outcome. because we trust the one who never fails. And as we live from Sunday to Sunday, let us remember that true faith is not about what we see, but about who we trust. Amen? Walk by faith, not by sight, and watch how God leads you into his perfect plan. Remember tonight, Friday reminds us that faith is more than belief, it's action. And so the F, follow God completely. The A, act in obedience. The I, ignore fear and doubt. The T, trust God's timing. And the H, hold on to God's promises. Lastly, as I leave and as I've done every night, A scripture, the last scripture that I'll read to saturate your mind with scripture that is powerful. Hebrews chapter 11, verse one. Now faith is the substance of things hopeful, the evidence of things not seen. Faith isn't seen, it's trusting. And so I wonder what areas of your life do you need to fully surrender to God's control? Is it your finances? Is it your relationship? Hey, is it your future? What step of faith is God calling you to take? I know one thing, we need to obey his word and we need to serve in ministry and we need to share the gospel. And last but not least, I wonder how you can strengthen your faith this coming weekend. I believe that the best way to do it is to apply the scripture and the word of God and pray, surrounding yourself with faith. filled believers, praise God, because on Fridays we focus on faith, remembering that true faith is trusting and obeying God even when we don't understand everything. Follow God completely, act in obedience, ignore fear and doubt, trust God's timing, and hold on to God's promises. Father, Please increase our faith. Help us to trust you completely. Obey without hesitation. Reject fear. Wait for your time and stand firm on your promises. Lord, may we live each day by faith and not by sight because we thank you for the word that has reminded us to walk by faith and not by sight. And as we step into the days ahead, May we trust you with every decision, every challenge, and every unknown. Give us courage to take bold steps of faith, knowing that you will never fail us. And when trials come, help us to stand firm. When doubts arise, remind us of your unfailing promises. Let our lives be a testimony of faith that points others to your glory. and we surrender our plans, our fears, and our future into your hands. Keep us walking by faith until we see you face to face. In the mighty, mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we pray. Amen. you
