R5 Worthy Is The Lamb

A strong angel proclaimed with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? (Revelation 5:2). John wept much because no man could be found.
We should look to God not man for worthiness. Jesus, the Lamb of God, is God manifested in the flesh. He sacrificed Himself to pay for our sins. He was raised to life so He could give life to everyone who believes in Him.
God alone was qualified to pay for our sins. He alone is without blemish, having no sin. He alone can pay for an infinite debt. He alone is capable of comprehending an infinite debt and thereby is qualified to be truly willing to pay for the infinite debt of sin.
Most importantly, He wanted to redeem us because He loves us. And everything in creation glorifies Him for His worthiness.
