Sola Fide

The Scriptures state emphatically that we are saved by and through faith, which is the instrumental means of salvation. They also proclaim that man is not forensically justified by works of the law—by any good deeds, whether of the moral law or of the Law of Moses. Not even faith is our righteousness: our righteousness is the active and passive obedience of Christ. By contrast, there are those who deny the doctrine of Sola Fide, saying that man must be baptized to be justified. This sermon explains and defends the doctrine of Sola Fide.
