The Heavenly Vision, the book of Ephesians. Paul's writings here are just beyond human. Let's put it that way. He's writing to the churches all over. This is what we call a general epistle. It says the book in Ephesus, or Ephesians, but it really, in Ephesus, wasn't actually there in the original language. in the old manuscripts. It's a circular letter, so it could say any church, anytime, anywhere, to the church in Fish Lake Valley, to the church in Tatchebee, the church in Bakersfield, whatever. We're going to read here, and we're going to read for a few verses here, starting from the Amplified Bible to get us a little bit acquainted with it, and then we're going to go back and look at it in depth from the original language, Koine Greek. The Spirit is a guarantee, the first installment, the pledge and foretaste of our inheritance until the redemption of God's own purchase, possession, his believers, the praise of his glory. This is what we call the earnest money, the down payment with the Holy Spirit. Fifteen, for this reason I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God's people. I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I always pray that God, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you the spirit of wisdom, of revelation that gives you a deep and personal, intimate insight into the true knowledge of Him, for we know the Father through the Son. We know the Father through the Son. Verse number 18, And I pray that the eyes of your heart, this is beautiful language here, the eyes of your heart, the eyes of your soul, the very center and core of your being may be enlightened and flooded with the light by the Holy Spirit so that you will know and cherish the hope, the divine guarantee, the confident expectation to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, God's people. and so that you will begin to know what the unmeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing greatness of His active spiritual power is in us, who believe these are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength. I don't know whether we'll get all that way, but in one class. You know, as I look, in God's Word, and I read history a lot. I'm reading history almost every day. And I see what the ancient believers back in the first century, the apostles that saw Jesus, how they felt after seeing the Son of God walking among man. And what I see is an adoration. We adore him. They adored him. I know there's people in your life that you might come to love very greatly and to adore them. And that is a natural thing between people that are very intimate in marriage and family. But as we look at our Savior, let us realize how great he was. we don't really many times realize how great Jesus was. We saw the whole triune God walking among human flesh. The disciples tried to imitate him and they were called Christians. Little Christ Christians. When we take the Lord's Supper as a church let us adore him Let us adore Him. You are not getting anything from the Lord's Supper. I want to repeat that a thousand times, and we're going to do the Lord's Supper here probably this week. But, when you take the Lord's Supper, it is not for you. The Lord's Supper doesn't give you anything. The Lord's Supper, in a scriptural way, we adore, and we remember what Jesus did for us. We adore Him. We adore Him. And that's basically what Paul is saying here. We need to adore and remember our Savior, our Lord. The God of the Creator of the world walked among flesh, Colossians the first chapter, John the first chapter. This tells us that Jesus came and walked among us, that Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Creator of the world, One who shall become, John 1, 14, kai holo go sarxegento, and the word flesh he became, or the Jehovah flesh he became. Actually, it's a Hebraism. So, the Jehovah, or Jehovah became flesh and dwelt among us, and we begel the glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. No man has seen God at any time, John 1 and 18. But the only begotten God, the one being in the bosom of the Father, that one has led himself out. That is our Savior. That is our only hope for heaven. He is it. That's it. Jesus is our hope. He is our God. He is our Savior. Soter Cosmos. Ho Soter Tu Cosmos. The Savior of the cosmos. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." The disciples, without ever even looking at each other's work many times, would say the same thing. John 1 and 1, Ephesians 1, Colossians 1, the book of Hebrews, Peter, James James called Jehovah his brother Jehovah saw the oath the Lord of Armies are God Almighty El Shaddai And he was his brother remember these people didn't believe until after Jesus rose from the dead He's too close to home Now let's go back here in 115 and start from there Dia to toe cargo akousos, tein, koth, himos, tistan, en, to, kyrie, kyrio, that is, esu, kai, tein, es, pontos, tous, hagyous. Now let's look at every word here. Diatuto, that is a little idiom. It means because of this. Dia means through, sometimes because of, and tuto is this, a demonstrative pronoun. Because of this, and then we have the word chi and ago put together here, chi is and and I, and here is this little idiom also means and I also. Having heard, acusos, we get a word acoustics out of this. First aorist, participle, active, nominative, singular, masculine, from acuo. Having heard, after hearing or having heard, the, according to you, The things, according to you, actually, the, according to you, tein, accusative singular, and then kata, it's kath here, it's for euthany, kata, it's got changed to kath, and then himas, you all, faith, your faith, your pistis, your pistin, your faith. That word faith there, there comes from God. For in grace, Ephesians 2 and 8, for in grace you're having been saved through faith and that didn't come from you. The faith. These people, because they are saved and because they are a New Testament church and just, I want you to remember something here about Paul. Paul was run off out of the areas. He was, they tried to kill him. And the Thessalonians, when he was there, they tried to kill him. And Ephesians, they really, they said, he's making himself to be God, et cetera. They talked about there on Areopagus, Mars Hill, as he stood up there, he said, I declare unto you the unknown God. And now he's speaking so heavenly in this book. that it just makes our head swim spiritually. According to your faith in the Lord Jesus. Into Jehovah. That word Kyrio there? In the Old Testament Septuagint, that means Jehovah. Jehovah, Jesus. Jesus means Jehovah saves. In the Lord, our Master, Jesus. And then we have a word of Kai here. Little conjunction, page 208. and the you could put the word love in there if you want to and the love unto all of the ones holy and the love unto all the ones holy because you're saved and when you're saved One of the hardest things to do is to get along people, get along with others in close quarters, isn't it? Pretty soon, sometimes, you know, you really like somebody and they come and see you, your families and things like that, and then pretty soon, it's like fish and company, they stink after three days, you know, as they say. Some people you can put up with a lot longer than that. And others, it's really difficult to put up with them for three days. Anyway, love, love is what holds the church together. Everybody in the church have got shortcomings. All of you have shortcomings, wherever you are, no matter what you are, whether you're in Pennsylvania, back there, in Wales, in Australia, in the Philippines. We have a lot of listeners in the Philippines right now. We've got a lot of new ones just in the last few weeks. We had two seminaries putting our work out there for the last several years, but now we're getting into the churches and into the homes of the church members. And they're watching and they're listening to the Word of God. The faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and all the ones holy. All the ones holy. Hagiois. That's a Tuesday Pro Mass, an indefinite article there. with a little adjective, pontos, in front of it, and then hagios. That's accusative plural also. And it means not of earth. Now, when you're born into the world, you're born with a mother and a father. The woman does not pass on the sin nature to the child, even though she may be very wicked, but she is not capable for her to do that. But the father passes on the sin nature. But when we've been convicted of the Spirit of God, when God calls us to Himself, to His Spirit, and we're born again, we're born not of earth, we're born from above. Like it says in John the third chapter, you must be born from above, born again. And so when we're saved, we're born again, we have a new mother, a new father. We have a God that loves us. He is our Father, and He is the one that is going to give us eternal life through His Son. 116 now. OO PA OMAE YUKARISTON HEHPER HEMON NEON POYOMONOS EPITON PROSHUKON MU Not, adverb of negation, page 294 there. Uk is where it comes from. It's shortened for euphony there. Not, I cease for myself. Not, I cease for myself. That comes from pao. That's first person singular, present, infinitive, and middle voice. Present indicative, that is, middle voice. Comes from pao. Not, I keep on ceasing. for myself, euchariston, to giving thanks. That's present participle, active, nomine singular, masculine, from eucharistio. That means to give thanks. Now Paul went into these areas, into these churches, and when he went off, and he's writing to this church here, some deep doctrinal beliefs. Paul was the theologian. Of all the apostles, he was the great theologian. The other one just preached, but Paul was a theologian. He preached the deep things of God. Peter said that Paul writes things that are hard to understand. Well, the Spirit of God helps you a lot. I cease not from myself giving thanks, Hyper, on behalf of you all. Hyper, a little preposition there, adverb at times, at 414, page 414, of you all. as a, uh, now he said, I've given thanks over all of you as a intercessor for you. When Paul left these little churches that he was there, you know, he was longer in some places than the other, the Christians, the Thessalonians, uh, the Ephesians and the Ephesian letter is all the churches. So you can just say all the churches that Thessalonians, uh, Galatians, whatever. I cease not to constantly give thanks on behalf of you all, and to call to mind and to remember. Meneion. The word monument, the word memorial stone in graveyards, that's where all this comes from. Paul, because he remembered the different ones, And sometimes, some of them gave him trouble and he would just name them, just plain as that. Now this guy here and so and so and so and so, you get along a little better. God wants you to get along. My great-grandmother, Hattie Jane Paul, she had 11 kids and they were wild Indians. A lot of them drank, and they would get together and fight and go on and beat each other up and everything. She'd always tell them, you're blood. You are blood. You are brothers and sisters. Knock it off. No matter what, no matter how you don't agree with each other, you love each other. Love each other, no matter what. That's what she'd tell them. No matter what, love each other. Call to mind making. present participle, middle voice, nominative singular masculine, upon the prayers, proschukam. Now, a lot of people consider prayers as a hard work. Paul didn't think so. He prayed for all of his students all over. And I mean, he had a bunch of them, didn't he? All these little churches all through Galatia and all of these Arab Ephesians, Thessalonians, Philippians. He remembered every one of them. He remembered the good, bad, and ugly. He called their attention to that, too. But he loved them. And to him, prayer was not a burden. Prayer was a joy. Get up every day. The first thing we ought to do is we ought to thank God for whatever sleep we got, what rest we got, that we're alive for another day, and then start praying for those that we love. And at nighttime, you do the same thing. I like to hear Marilyn praying. She'll pray every night. And I used to... I'd hear something in the house down there when we lived in Old River, and I'd go in there, and she slept on the couch. for over 10 years down there. Once I had the cancer operation and everything, she never slept in the bed with me, very seldom ever again. And she'd go in there and sleep, and I'd hear something, and I'd go in there and listen, and I'd hear her praying to God, asking her to watch over her family and me, and she did it with great joy. When we pray, we ought to pray with great joy. Used to We need to pray for our country. We need to pray for our presidents, all the lawmakers that do the right thing. We've had a real struggle the last several years, you know. We need to pray for our families. We need to pray for our... People even pray for their pets, you know. I mean, what's wrong with praying for your pet? Nothing. You can pray for your pets. You can pray for many things in life. Pray that your garden is going to come up and grow and give you some vegetables and whatever you need. That's a legitimate thing. Didn't the Bible tell you to pray for your daily bread? Well, then pray for your garden. Pray for your fruit trees. Pray for everything. Pray for all things. Paul said prayer to him was not a burden. And the word prayer means to bend the knee toward. There are three words for prayer, desis, prosuches, and antixes. And the word pro before that means in front of. When you pray to God, he's listening. You don't ever have to worry about whether he's listening. He may not answer your prayer. He may answer your prayer 100-fold. But you pray because you're communicating with the God who saved your soul. 16 now, or 17 that is. Hina, ho theos, tu curio himon esu Christo, ho pater teis doxas, do e, do e is not in some of the oldest manuscripts. Himen, numa, sophias, cai, apocalipsios, en epinosai auto. In order to that, the God of the Lord, in order to that little conjunction there, the God, ho theos, that's nomine singular maxim, definite article, and the same thing with the article and the noun agree. The God of the Lord Jesus of us, the Lord of us, Jesus Christ. God the Father, through Jehovah, brought himself into the human race. Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that he may give to you all a spirit of wisdom, and from unveiling in all full, complete knowledge from him. All true knowledge comes from God. Now, we've had lots of different kind of theology through the last 2,000 plus years. It says here, the father of the glory. Now, remember John 114, kai holo go sarxageniko, and the Jehovah flesh ye became, and dwell among us, and we beheld the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. This is where it repeats that again. This is like John 114. the glory, the Adonai. Jesus is Adonai to us. He's our Lord, Adonai. He's our Jehovah. And He shall give to you the spirit of wisdom, Sophia. That word Sophia there means complete wisdom. Talked about the Shekinah glory of God in Hebrews 9 and 5 and Acts 7 and 2 and 1 Corinthians 2 and 8 and 2 Corinthians 1 and 3 and James 2 and 1. Remember, these writers weren't copying each other. They knew the same God. That's the difference. They knew the same God. And so they write this and they write it by inspiration. John Calvin wrote a comment on 1 John 2 and 2 one time. He said, Christ suffered for the sins of the whole world and in the goodness of God he offered unto all men without distinction His blood being shed, not for a part of the world only, but for the whole of the human race. For although in the world nothing is found worthy of the favor of God, yet He holds out the propitiation, that's a halasmos, a kafar, propitiation to the whole world. Since without exception, He summons all to the faith of Christ, which is nothing else than the door unto hope. Page 775 quoted by Strong in his Systematic Theology. Now Calvin and Luther made some great statements, but among those statements was heresy. John Calvin basically rewrote the the city of God by Augustine, or Augustine, whatever you want to call him. And he took upon his theology also. In Calvin and Luther, we have the very root of the Holocaust. Wow. Did you hear what I said? In Calvin and Luther, we have the very root of the Holocaust. Because of their replacement theology, they didn't believe that Israel would ever have anything to do with the economy of God ever again. They looked and just overlooked the kingdom and the restoration of Israel in Ezekiel 36, 25-38. They realized that Israel was set aside for a time, but Israel was going to bring back God. That covenant he made with Israel is what we call a covenant that is not breakable. It is a covenant that is simply made and by the Word of God only. There were many things about Israel, God would bring judgment upon Israel when they would do bad, but in all, because of the Davidic covenant and the Abrahamic covenant, Israel is still in the plan of God, and after the church age that we live in, God will bring Israel back to Him during the tribulation period, And then for 1,000 years, they will rule and reign with him. Now, in your what we call supralapsarian theology, because of the replacement theology, they set the scene for the Holocaust of Germany. God still has a plan for Israel in the future, especially during the tribulation period and the millennium. And many adherents to Lutheran Calvin become amillennius. They don't believe in millennium. They don't believe in the rapture. And Paul simply says that they don't believe in all of these. And when I did the book of Revelation, I did four different views of Revelation. The future view is that things, in all things, have happened yet. We start off with the book of Revelation, then actually from chapter four onward, then we see a whole different things. The church is left out. It's talking about those during the tribulation period, especially Israel, bringing Israel back to God. To a great deal, to a great degree, Catholicism also contributed to the Holocaust because of Augustine's teachings also. Verse number 18. peth fo tisminus, tus opthalmus, tes codias himon. Himon there is actually in brackets, so it's not there, but it's like a practical subject. It stands there. Some people started writing it in the text, but it's only a practical subject. It is not really there. Es to edine, himos tes esten, he elpes tes Klesios autotis hol plutos tes doxes tes kleronomia autu entois hagios. Having been enlightened, accused a plural masculine, the action was upon the one being enlightened. Having been enlightened, that's a perfect participle passive voice. Then they get enlightened by themselves, the Holy Spirit enlightened. And then it says, tus, that's accusatory or masculine, the eyes, the ophthalmos, we got an ophthalmologist, we got an optometrist, come from this word. The eyes are the perception of the taste, genitus, singular, feminine, carteus, the heart of you. And the word heart here is actually meaning the soul. The very essence of a person is your soul. You are spirit, you are body, and you're soul. And in the soul is where you think, and that's where you love. In your soul is where you love. If somebody loves you, they love you from their soul. If they hate you, they hate you from their soul. Of the heart of you all, and that, of course, is, like I said, a practical subject, it's not really there. Ace, toe, and a dene. Open up the hearts of your soul and enlighten the hearts of your soul to have spiritual understanding there. For you all, what, a little interrogative pronoun there for a nominal adjective, tis, it is, what is, estin, third person singular, present indicative, active, the, a, he, nominative singular, feminine, definite article, the, el, peace, The hope. And the hope here is determined and fulfilled. Now we have faith, hope, and today. Faith, hope, and love. Now in eternity, that's all the gifts we have in the church today is faith, hope, and love. We have faith, that's a gift of God. We have hope, that's a gift of God. And this hope is a guaranteed, determined, fulfilled fulfillment that you are going to be with God and He's going to hold you one of these days in His hand forever. Because He loves you. The determined, fulfilled expectation, the hope of the calling, klesios, the calling from Him. We are called from Him. Jesus said, no man can come unto me except the Father call him. And the Bible said He calls all men, but all of them don't come. 1 John 2 and 2, as we even read Calvin's commentary. The hope. determined as fulfilled of the calling from him that the opposite singular masculine third-person pronoun what the richness the abundant riches that plews host the abundant riches We have a couple of people in government right now that are serving for free. One of them is the President of the United States, Donald Trump. He's donating all of his salary, like he did the last time, to the veterans. And Elon Musk, he is serving for free also. They have plenty of money. They don't need it. That word right there is Pluto, sir. That means to be beyond, rich is beyond even any more need of it. You don't need any more. How much money can you spend? God's inheritance is waiting for us. And we look at the riches, the richness, the overabundant riches of the glory of that inheritance. Of the glory, te, teis, doces. Genitive singular matter. Masculine or feminine, both of them. of the inheritance, and that's genitive singular masculine also, the allotted possession by right of sonship. You own a piece of heaven, you know that? By right of sonship. You own a piece of heaven. You have a piece of heaven allotted to you and marked out for you. It's in your name. This is Marilyn's right here. This is Sharon's right there. That's Donald's over there. That's Nancy's over here. the inheritance belonging to him but then because you're his because you're related to him it's yours of him in the holy in the ones holy in the Saints the church triumphant Ephesians 1 10 and 21 523 24 25 27 29 32 our riches are in God and God's riches are in His Beloved. Do you realize that? Heaven belongs to you when you belong to Him. He belongs to you. Elohimu, that is a word for God, and it's our God, the God of us. And this Elohimu, also, we are His children. We are His possession. Through the Holy Spirit we are able to spiritually discern the right doctrines and the wrong teachings. Paul tells us that. Once you're exposed to the truth and see it, when you're exposed to error, you know it. It'll be never again a problem for you. Know the truth and put it in your heart. You know, I talked to a banker one time. I knew him very well. And he told me that he went to the Treasury Department because there was a lot of counterfeit money out there. A lot of counterfeit money. And what they did, they didn't show him the counterfeit money. They showed him, had him touch and feel all of the genuine article, just over and over and over again. Feel this money, here's a $5, here's a $1, here's a $20, here's a $100 bill, etc., etc. And they would expose them to it, and they'd look at every little thing about it, and then they would give them a counterfeit, and right away they would know it's a counterfeit, because it didn't feel like the others. It really didn't look like the other. It kind of looked like it, but it was a counterfeit. When you study the Word of God and you know the plan of God and God's eternal purpose, you know the truth. And the truth will make you safe and it'll make you free also. The truth. Know the truth. The truth will set you free, Jesus said. Our Heavenly Father, we thank, send this message out for your honor and glory. Please use it wherever it goes. Touch the hearts of your people. Open the eyes of their hearts, of their souls to your word. Please forgive me where I failed you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
