Excel in Giving

There comes a time in our worship service when we ask the ushers to come forward to receive the offering. That can be an awkward moment. For some, it is a moment of truth. Is the Lord who saves us as near and dear to our hearts as the money he gives us? The Apostle Paul reminds us of the importance of giving in worship. We must first give ourselves to the Lord, then to others. It takes grace to give, and Paul calls us to 'excel,' to go beyond the minimum, to rise to the top and actually become good at giving.
