What's Happening to Our Food Supply?

4,382

As many Crosstalk listeners have been experiencing, food prices have soared. Processing plants have gone up in flames. In many eastern states, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a recall on over 400 food products over the threat of Listeria contamination. We've been warned that fertilizers are being limited and we're not to expect the normal yield on crops. Last week a South Dakota rancher, who serves as the president-elect of the National Cattleman's Beef Association, was speaking with Fox News Digital. He indicated that it's only a matter of time before foot and mouth disease, a disease that affects cows, pigs, sheep, and other animals, makes it across the southern border. Rural suicide rates are up due to farm stress. During the World Economic Forum, the chairman of the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe spoke of the positive effects if a billion people would stop eating meat.

So what's happening to our food supply? Returning to Crosstalk to shed some light on that question was Tom DeWeese. Tom is the president of American Policy Center.

Tom's research over the years has led him to believe there's an agenda to control the population. One of those is population reduction and this is now coming to the forefront of their agenda. In fact, according to Tom, the U.N. has said the earth can only sustain about a billion people. So control is being taken away from farmers via rules and regulations created by people who never grew any food in their life. The result is that every single aspect of the food industry is being controlled by the idea of being "sustainable" and Tom believes we're going to starve to death if they keep it up.
