Desires: Sex, Money & Power in the Light of the Cross

At there beginning of this central section of Mark's Gospel is the healing of a blind man that involved two steps. At the end of the section, only one step is involved and the healed man gets up and immediately follows Jesus on the way to Jerusalem. There is a lesson here. The first anticipates those that come after that healing who can't seem to focus rightly on just who Jesus is. The last is a true disciple. He not only sees clearly but he commits himself to one who has opened his eyes.
