Patience in Prayer

One of the greatest and most essential part of all true prayer, is patience. And it is God who will place us in various circumstances to test and strengthen this great virtue of patience in prayer. Too often, especially when we are facing urgent and troubling situations, we leave off prayer too quickly. Yet, it is just here, in such dire situations and circumstances, that God would have us learn the great value and immeasureable blessings of patient prayer.
Nehemiah and the people of God were facing a very difficult and sad situation. Their need was great and urgent, yet, God would have Nehemiah persevere in prayer, as He worked mightily in his heart and the heart of the king.
