Smitten, Stricken of God, and Afflicted!

Not only Isaiah, but every prophet experienced the
unbelief, obstinance, and faithlessness of the people of
Israel; if you come fast-forward to Jesus' day, this
lamentation was written about the people of Israel in the
time of Jesus' ministry. John 12:37-38.
The Apostle Paul sorely lamented the unbelief of his own
people, Israel in their refusal to believe on Christ!
Beloved, the Lord Jesus marveled at (2) things during His
earthly ministry, the great faith "OF Gentiles" that did
believe Him to be Israel's Messiah, and unbelief of the
people of Israel who refused Him.
