He was a chief house collector, but people did not like him very much because he worked for the Roman government and often took more money than he should have. People whispered about him at work. I hate Zacchaeus. He's taking our money. He's rich, but we're poor because of him. How is that they have the only kind of money in the house? They don't understand me. I just want to be happy, but I don't know how. No matter how much money I have, I don't get enough. Zacchaeus had heard about Jesus, but none of them got sick and spoke about love and forgiveness. He was curious if Jesus could help him and wanted to know more about it. Have you guys heard? Jesus is coming to our city for a hell of a healing. I've heard it in the Bible.
