Pillars and Partners

Paul risked his whole ministry by opening himself up to the wisdom of the called leaders of the church in Jerusalem. Among them was James, the brother of Jesus, and Peter and John. Together, these pillars found the Spirit leading them to welcome Paul and his cohorts as full partners in the Gospel with the understanding that circumcision and much of the ceremonial law was no longer necessary, having been fulfilled by Christ.
