The Psalm of the Supreme Sovereign

This psalm of David has a regal bearing to it. The event of bringing the Ark of the Covenant probably serves as the prophetic picture of a future event of the Messiah entering into the city of Jerusalem in the future. God is sovereign because He created the world, but yet He delights in having His people show up in His presence. in the future He will be in a place that people will be able to come before Him.
