(2) Sinner, Call on a Holy God

Psalm 6 is one of seven commonly designated as penitential psalms. Penitence is sorrow and regret because of the sins we have committed. The penitential psalms can help us express our godly sorrow. And this is true even when the phrases of the writer don't exactly line up with our situation. We don't have to be literally flooding our beds with tears (6) to sincerely use his script. We just have to know that we are weak and come to him because he is strong.
