The Word of Christ in You

In Colossians 3:1-17, Paul exhorts the Colossian disciples to become who they are in Christ, the last Adam, whose perfect image and character serve as a prototype and pattern for their own renewal as redeemed image-bearers of God. The word of Christ was to motivate as effectively as the presence of the apostle himself.
