World-Wide Covenant

Paul shows that God's covenantal focus from the beginning was upon all the nations and that Jesus is the servant of this covenant. In explaining this Paul shows how large Christ's heart is in accepting all those who believe in Him and thus exposes how foolish the believers in Rome were by judging and despising each other. Paul quotes from all the divisions of he Hebrew Scriptures: the Law, the Prophets and the Writings in order to establish beyond doubt God's eternal decree that the covenant's primary focus was and is world-wide.
