Psalm 147 is one of the five songs of praise, found at the end of the psalter. Most believe that this psalm describes the return of the Jewish peoples from the Babylonian captivity or exile, as described in the books of Daniel and Ezra. The theme is what the Lord does for His people: How He protects and strengthens them.
