I Am, And You Will See

Over the past few years in our culture, there has been considerable renewal of attention surrounding the notion of injustice, and regardless of how we may evaluate the alleged injustices that have brought so much unrest to our nation, there is no denying that injustice does occur. Individuals and even entire people groups are at times wrongly accused and unjustly treated. We could talk at length about all the injustices throughout human history, but I want us to focus on one particular injustice this morning - the one we find here in Mark 14. Jesus, the eternal Son of God has been arrested, and the finite creature will now sit in judgment over the infinite Creator -- just let that sink in for a moment. The epitome of holiness and righteousness is now standing before men whose hearts were filled with only hypocrisy and self-righteousness. This is the very worst injustice our world has even seen. This is the trial of Jesus.
