The Futility of Book-Burning

King Jehoiakim of Judah burned the scroll of Jeremiah - only to find that the Book couldn't be destroyed, and when it was written anew, it condemned him! God gave his Word to be read, and he calls us to receive it. To reject it - is to be rejected. But Christ died desipised and rejected for those who have despised and rejected his Word, so that all who repent abd believe the Gospel can be saved.
